Job Description: In line with the global strategy and business objectives of client worldwide, including Field Solutions NA to manage an expedient and accurate global distribution of samples to various external and internal customers for the purpose of evaluating NA and Global Development studies to support new and re-registration of BCS products. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Processing Sample Orders via Sample Logistics Applications. Prepare Sample Orders for shipping and attach appropriate SDS(s). Scan each sample order and its samples for packaging into shipping container, complete the shipping process according to IATA and/or DOT regulations, and file the shipping documents. Assist in completing international shipments and communicating shipping details. Physically conduct and reconcile sample inventories (current, bulk and GLP) in Sample Logistics Applications and create Excel inventory reports. Responsible for receiving packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintaining accurate records for future references. Maintain the Certificate of Analysis archive for GLP samples. Assist in overseeing the restricted GLP cage area where GLP samples are maintained and secured according to GLP regulations. Sub-filling sample containers adhering to all HSE, SDS and site safety policies. Apply FIFRA research sample labels, and stickers according to process orders. Scan samples into the inventory and complete process order. Ability to identify questionable test substances based on appearance and consult Sample Logistics manager. Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) filing for the Sample Logistics Inventory, retrieving SDS from Global QHSE database, other Ag manufactures/supplier's databases. Maintain bulk inventory with appropriate labels, scan to physical location and place containers on appropriate shelves. Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies in their designated areas for the Sample Logistics team. Assist the Sample Logistics team with other duties as requested. Comply with all IATA and DOT trainings. Report to and notify the designated Sample Logistics representative of any discrepancies with orders, computer and application problems, and other issues that may arise with the samples process. The Opportunity As the Operations Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the branch. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources. How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions * Responsible for the operations within the warehouse, may include the following departments or employees, routing/dispatching, receiving, forklift operations, truck driving/maintenance general warehouse, and inventory. * Responsible for all phases of employment including interviewing, selecting, training, monitoring, disciplining, and terminating warehouse staff. * Develop supervisors and team leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned teams. * Closely monitor the compliance with all safety policies and operation of equipment. * Research, recommend, and implement appropriate equipment to ensure safe transport and storage of all products. * Develop and maintain quality processes and measure to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. * Oversee the completion of all required paperwork and data entry by the warehouse team. * Coordinate scheduling and routes with drivers and dispatchers. * Work closely with accounting to resolve problems with invoices and billing. * Partner with Safety Director to continuously improve and enhance safety discipline, practices, and policies. * Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. * Oversee the rotation of inventories within the warehouse, as needed. * Monitor and measure warehouse performance and quality measures. * Provide reporting to management as required. * Develop and recommend an annual budget requirement for the warehouse, including staffing levels, justification for new or replacement material handling equipment. * Adjust staffing levels to meet peak customer demand. * Keep warehouse accessible and safe for branch staff visitors. What you need to succeed: * Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Industrial Management, or related field preferred. * Four or more years of experience as warehouse team leader or supervisor required. * General fluency in English and Spanish preferred, verbal and written. * Intermediate computer literacy required, preferred knowledge of MS Office.
