QUALIFICATIONS:
A four-year College Degree in management, business administration or related study, or five years of related field experience

Seeking qualified candidates for the Inventory and Logistics Associate position in the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. This position stocks, delivers, and retrieves exchange carts, receives packages delivered by carriers, checks in merchandise and stocks shelves, issues merchandise from inventory and performs day to day linen management duties. Will perform inventory counting on monthly basis.
Required Qualifications
Customer service experience; basic computer knowledge; inventory control experience; ability to safely move and handle up to 40 lbs and to pull at least 4 carts simultaneously; ability to perform math calculations and must be detail oriented; ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of medical supplies; pallet jack experience.

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Distribution Center Manager. The role is based at our Distribution Center in Lynchburg, VA and reports to the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager.
Job Summary
HARCO Fittings is seeking a Distribution Center Manager (DCM) works in collaboration with other departments to ensure that HARCO properly responds to the needs of our customers. The Primary responsibility of the DCM is to the Health and Safety of all employees at the facility. The DCM is also responsible for the overall performance of the Distribution Center (DC), the adherence to CT-PAT policies, operating budget, staffing requirements, meeting customer oriented KPI's.
Principal Responsibilities
Manage the Distribution Operations according to the existing service and quality standards defined by HARCO.
Develop, promote and manage the different aspects of Health & Safety
Manage and develop the DC team in a way that ensures team cohesion and effectiveness in offering prompt and accurate customer service.
Develop, promote and manage the different aspects of Health & Safety, as well as Human Resources.
Maintain inventory accuracy through the use of the RF technology and also cycle and physical counts.
Assist in the development of the operating budget and, once approved, manage it;
Use Continuous Improvement principles to make operations more efficient while improving customer service. This is accomplished by using Lean Principles, Problem Solving, 5S Programs, etc.
Ensure that the DC follows all internal practices such as, but not limited to, the TMS, C-TPAT program, company standards, etc.
Ensure proper training of employees according to internal standards and provincial/state laws and regulations specific to our industry.
Coordinate repairs and purchases for the DC
Requirements
Completion of a college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience in Distribution, Logistics and/or Customer Service;
Positive leadership and project management skills
Excellent written & verbal skills;
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in an RF environment
Experience working/managing in a unionized environment
Experience with SAP is an asset.
