* Is an active participant of the facility SHE programs. Maintains good working knowledge of SHE policies, rules and procedures applicable to area of responsibility and ensures all applicable requirements are adhered to.

* Possess the ability to follow the direction provided by the Cover Station operator to position barges as they arrive in the slip and place the barge haul cables on the bow and stern kevel.
* Possess the ability to recognize and identify the various grains and grain by-products and communicate that information to the Cover Station operator when the covers are lifted on each barge.
* Possess the ability to recognize normal operation of the barge winching systems and hoist winches. Additionally, they must be able to distinguish between sound cables and excessively worn cables.
* Take an active role in recognizing excessive emissions from the barge Unloader or ship loading spouts and notifying the Unloader operator.
* Fully recognize hazards associated with a barge unloading operation and take appropriate steps to ensure they and all personnel working in the barge unloading operation adhere to safe operating rules and policies.
* Entry-level operators will perform houseman duties as directed by the shift superintendent including bin cleaning, housekeeping, assisting maintenance as directed and other duties necessary in the operation of an export grain elevator.

This role encompasses a wide range of duties that require a blend of technical skills, safety consciousness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As an operator gains experience, their proficiency in these areas is expected to increase.
Safety and Compliance
A paramount responsibility is adhering to all safety procedures and practices, including active participation in safety training. This commitment extends to understanding and upholding SH&E (Safety, Health, and Environmental) principles, with an emphasis on championing safety within the workplace. Operators are also expected to:
Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies, following established safety guidelines.
Understand and ensure all work meets Federal and State requirements, as well as company safety, health, and environmental standards.
Train regularly on Federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including RCRA requirements.
Perform Isolation of energy and permit-to-work activities in accordance with company safety fundamentals.
Operational Execution
Operators are directly involved in the hands-on control and maintenance of equipment and processes. Key responsibilities include:
Opening and closing valves, both manually and via computer systems.
Ensuring correct tank lineups for various receipt and delivery operations.
Performing tank gauging and temperature verification, and completing associated paperwork.
Reviewing operation orders for errors, verifying backups, tank selection, and equipment suitability.
Loading and unloading various transport vehicles (railroad tank cars, trucks, ships, barges), which involves physical tasks like connecting hoses and operating hydraulic equipment.
Monitoring gauges and adjusting flow rates.
Executing start-up, shutdown, and commissioning procedures for process equipment.
Cleaning and setting portable pumps.
Operating transfer equipment common to an industrial marine terminal.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
A degree of mechanical aptitude is required, as operators are responsible for basic maintenance and problem-solving:
Performing simple maintenance, such as small to medium valve or hose change-outs, painting, and fitting change-outs.
Refilling pump oilers.
Troubleshooting pumps, meters, heating systems, and nitrogen operations to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Reporting any deficiencies to supervisors.
Continuous Improvement and Teamwork
This role also emphasizes ongoing learning and contribution to operational efficiency:
Being self-driven and capable of working independently, often in remote areas.
Participating in and completing all assigned training programs.
Working with more experienced operators on new or unfamiliar systems to improve skills.

Work Environment
This position involves working outdoors and exposure to various weather conditions, including summer temperatures exceeding 100°F and winter temperatures potentially reaching 0°F. You'll encounter various chemicals and compounds, including hazardous fumes and smells. The role requires entry into confined spaces and working in elevated environments for potentially long periods. You must be able to consistently wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the noise level is usually moderate, you may experience loud sounds and vibrations at times. Rest assured, all work environments are safe when appropriate PPE is utilized.
Physical Demands
Performing this job successfully requires a range of physical abilities. You'll regularly walk (sometimes long distances carrying tools up to 15 pounds), crawl, sit, speak, and hear. Expect to stand for extended periods, use your hands for fingering, handling, or feeling, and reach with your hands and arms. You'll be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and twist repeatedly. This includes climbing ladders and storage tanks up to 50 feet high, and entering confined spaces like crawling under rail cars or trucks. You must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including overhead, and carry up to 25 pounds over distances up to 30 yards. Specific tasks include rolling and tipping a dolly holding a 55-gallon trash receptacle, and lifting and securing hose flanges, as well as manually aligning and connecting/disconnecting 6" to 8" hoses. You must pass a drug and alcohol screen. Essential vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel by car, truck, or other land vehicles may be required.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
· Is an active participant of the facility SHE programs. Maintains good working knowledge of SHE policies, rules and procedures applicable to area of responsibility and ensures all applicable requirements are adhered to.
· Proficiency in recognizing various barge cover types and the correct method used to rig each type of cover for lifting prior to unloading.
· Understanding of the safe operational capabilities of a dual lane barge uncovering / covering unit.
· Must have sufficient ability to rig, lift and reset covers safely and productively in all conditions including high / low river conditions and inclement weather.
· Understand the overall barge unloading process sufficiently to perform duties as directed by the Cover Station operator.
· Understand the operation of the barge winching system sufficiently to place cables on the barges and position the barges in the slip for uncovering / covering.
· Possess the ability to follow the direction provided by the Cover Station operator to position barges as they arrive in the slip and place the barge haul cables on the bow and stern kevel.
· Possess the ability to recognize and identify the various grains and grain by-products and communicate that information to the Cover Station operator when the covers are lifted on each barge.
· Possess the ability to recognize normal operation of the barge winching systems and hoist winches. Additionally, they must be able to distinguish between sound cables and excessively worn cables.
· Take an active role in recognizing excessive emissions from the barge Unloader or ship loading spouts and notifying the Unloader operator.
· Fully recognize hazards associated with a barge unloading operation and take appropriate steps to ensure they and all personnel working in the barge unloading operation adhere to safe operating rules and policies.
· Entry-level operators will perform houseman duties as directed by the shift superintendent including bin cleaning, housekeeping, assisting maintenance as directed and other duties necessary in the operation of an export grain elevator.

· Position may require cross training in other positions to meet possible operational demands.
· Capable of operating a skid steer loader for general duties as directed.
· Regular attendance at safety meetings and training sessions as directed by the General Superintendent.
· Know and understand duties and responsibilities in the event of an emergency evacuation or man overboard emergency.
· Must have the ability and must continually utilize good/clear/calm/concise communications.
· Be mutually respectful of co-workers, management, contractors and visitors.

· Must have ability to work from ladders and platforms at heights above 6'.
· Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Must be able to work in dusty conditions.
· Must be able to work frequently in inclement weather.
· Must be aware and attentive to surroundings, which may include automatically starting conveyor belts, other moving machinery, overhead loads and vessel gangways on the dock.
· Must ensure environmental equipment for the unloading operation is functioning properly at all times.

Millennium Galvanizing is looking for a Forklift Operator to join the team in Convent. The Forklift Operator must be capable of operating a forklift in a galvanizing facility. This individual should have a working knowledge of material handling and unloading materials off of trucks. The Forklift operator is still in the training and learning stages. They are mostly unloading basic incoming loads and laying the steel out with comparable steel in the yard. This ensures the yard remains in a neat and efficient order. Terminal Operator

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the Terminal Operator is responsible for safely operating all Terminal equipment in connection with receiving, storing, transferring, and loading of liquid bulk products via trucks, pipeline, rail cars, water vessels or tanks. The Terminal Operator is also responsible for the testing of products and documentation of results; maintenance of Terminal equipment; preparation of various Terminal reports; and general maintenance and upkeep of the facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the safe operation of the terminal; maintain awareness for personal and co-workers safety, and ensure knowledge and compliance with all policies and procedures.
Perform gauging of storage tanks, temperature readouts, and obtaining product samples.
Perform all daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance and compliance inspections, and maintain required logs as appropriate.
Complete daily meter readings for all products. Calculate and input all product inventories and meter readings into appropriate systems.
Ensure that all Terminal equipment, including safety devices and systems are functioning properly, and report any and all equipment failures to supervisor.
Perform daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Conduct preventive and routine maintenance on various operating equipment, including, but not limited to, pumps, valves, meters, compressors, motors, tanks, pipes, terminal building, and various other equipment.
Calibrate and adjust all additive injection systems as required.
Basic testing of oils, such as viscosity, A.P.I. and flash when necessary.
Complete all required additive Volumetric Additive Reconciliation documentation on a monthly basis. Take product samples as required, perform required Quality Control tests and maintain Product Quality Log.
Issue work permits to contractors performing work at Terminal. Includes ensuring that pre-job safety meetings, lockout - tag-out, confined space entry, and gas tech monitoring requirements are met for all work performed at the Terminal.
Ensure that all contractors, customers and vendors follow Company/Terminal Policies and Procedures when accessing or working in the Terminal.
Communicate product outages and equipment downtime to appropriate individuals.
Participate in emergency situations as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
General knowledge of steam boilers, hot oil heaters, loading racks, product blenders and automation systems.
Basic computer and Microsoft Office experience and experience with terminal automation software - such as Toptech - is preferred.
