Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces
Driving our hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
Attending safety meetings
Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, State, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For:
Must have a valid Class A or B CDL
CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection and OSHA 10 certification
(preferred)
Experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions
(preferred)
Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
Prior hydrovac equipment operations or related industrial experience

Requirements
Education:

Certifications:

Job Summary
Performs work required to maintain efficient operation of plants and equipment in support of mining and aggregate material production activities; operates a variety of equipment, vehicles, and tooling.
Main Responsibilities:
• Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly; leads by example
• Communicate professionally with others in person, over the phone, and on company radio channels
• Operate heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, loaders, skid steers, water trucks, telehandlers, and service/pickup trucks used in aggregate mining and production operations; operate other tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks
• Perform manual/physical tasks required in plant operation and maintenance activities
• Work closely with plant operators, drivers, and others to ensure efficient and safe mining and plant operation in support of efficient materials production
• Perform pre-operational inspection of equipment and detect mechanical and/or safety issues
• Perform mobile equipment maintenance, including lubrication, replacing oil/fluids, re-fueling, and cleaning; assist with minor equipment repair tasks
• Assist with plant/crusher equipment maintenance and repair
• Complete other related projects/tasks as assigned
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• MSHA certification or ability to obtain certification required
• Valid drivers' license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
Skills:
• 2 years of relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of training/experience in a similar role
• Basic mechanical skill preferred, basic welding experience a plus
• Proficiency in operation industrial and heavy equipment, including but not limited to skid steers, 903 loader, water truck, telehandler forklift, service/pickup trucks
• Ability to operate mobile devices and other technology used daily operations
• Ability to read and interpret signage and/or written instructions (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.)
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to work in a team environment under general direction and supervision
• Ability to interact professionally with others and clearly communicate with others
Physical Requirements
• Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to manipulate objects
