A typical day for our drivers includes: Driving seniors and disabled passengers to their program. Driving a free fixed route shuttle to farmers' markets and hospitals. Delivering food bank boxes to individuals in need. Boxes weigh up to 28lbs. Picking up seniors and disabled passengers from their program and taking them home. You must be able to bend down to the floor to secure wheelchairs to the bus. Must be able to push wheelchairs weighing up to 400lbs.
Once a job offer is made must be able to show proof of having all 3 of the following documents. Copies not allowed :
1. Certified Birth Certificate, Permanente Resident Card, Passport or Certificate of Naturalization
2. Social Security Card
3. California Driver License
Schedule:
Must have open availability between 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
8-11 hour shifts, 5 days a week, over time after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours
No late nights, weekends or holidays
Guaranteed at least 40 hours per week

Valid California Driver License
Clean driving record (no more than 2 points)
At least 21 years old for insurability

Job Conditions
This position is regularly exposed to all weather conditions. Physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt are present due to the equipment, machinery, and scrap as would be found throughout the scrap yard. Safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, and additional personal protective equipment as needed, must be worn to eliminate the risks associated with these hazards. Travel is not required for this position.
Handling multiple issues regarding safety and maintenance increases pressure. Workload may be unpredictable, and pressure can be substantial during peak times. Critical deadlines require considerable adaptability. Disturbances of workflow and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions
Sitting, walking, bending, stretching is required regularly to perform job function, production, and environmental/safety responsibility functions.

We are looking for a Forklift Operator who will join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Linden, CA!
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
What you'll do in this role:
* Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
* Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
* Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
* Report quality variances.
* Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
* Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
* Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
* Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.
* Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required.
* Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
* On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
* Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
* Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
* Assist in physical inventories.
* Ensure proper stock rotation.
* Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
* Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
* Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
* Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
What you'll need to be successful:
* Preferred education level is a High School Diploma or GED.
* Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift.
* Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing.
* Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products.
* Must be able to complete the pre-shift inspection forms. Must be able to pass the Scotts forklift exams and obtain and maintain a valid operator's license

You must be able to bend down to the floor to secure wheelchairs to the bus. Must be able to push wheelchairs weighing up to 400lbs.

Front End attendant is responsible for all related items in the Front-End processes which includes receiving and transporting coils in the plant and general housekeeping. Performing all task in a safe manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ability to operate class 1, 4 and 5 industrial trucks to perform transporting assignments in designated locations according to prescribed methods lifting up to 26,000 lbs.
Receives and prepares aluminum coils
Understands and complies with position related safety SOP's and work instructions, especially for Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and Personal Protective Equipment.
Identify many types, sizes and labels of finished or in process products, shipping material or other processing materials. Familiarize self with productive capacity of machines or lines and work from schedule and change sheets to assure correct and prompt delivery of items to proper destination.
Collect scrap and/or spoilage and load into baler. Operate baler, remove jams and compacted scrap in equipment. Clean and lubricate baler. Load bales of scrap on return pallets. Weigh and mark scrap pallets.
Handle and pile skids, pallets or drums. Re-pile spilled loads of materials or product.
Move and replace scrap receptacles located throughout the plant. Segregate, weigh and record scrap for shipment.
Make routine inspections of lift trucks to see that they are properly serviced. Add lubrication and coolant as required or service batteries.
Handle dock board, packages, bracing and strapping. Use tools for bracing trucks and cars.
Transport materials to and from storage areas, warehouse, machines, and loading docks.
Fill out forms, check identification, count or weigh material.
Inputs and extracts information in computer system to generate appropriate paperwork.
Ability to understand and execute all loading procedures as they apply to each individual customer.
Assist frontend production team as needed.
Empty production floor waste / trash daily.
Maintains the highest level of housekeeping in assigned areas
