Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Forklift Operator to join our Team in the Cantonment, FL area. The forklift operator will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve supplies and materials.
Qualification Standards:
• High school or equivalent
• Preferably one (1) to three (3) years of experience in specified skill
• Must pass Turner Qualification written and practical exams
• Able to strap load to forks via ratchet strap or similar device
• Some job sites may require further NCCER certification
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection,
safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
• Must have a valid driver's license
Functional Requirements:
Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, or gasoline operating equipment; must have a valid driver's license; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may be required to manipulate equipment on unleveled working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment; and maintains a clean and safe work area.
Compensation:
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
