**Forklift Operator**
**Salary Grade: Hourly**
**_Basic Function:_**
_Safely and effectively perform functions in warehousing, material handling and shipping to ensure: proper materials flow to and from production area, accurate storage and inventory of finished goods, and proper loading and unloading of trucks for shipping and delivery._
**Essential Function and Responsibilities:**
+ Incumbent must be forklift certified by a Team Lead or Shipping Supervisor and must re-certify every 3 years in accordance with policy and OSHE standards.
+ Operate a forklift in a safe, efficient and effective manner for scheduled shift.
+ Supply necessary materials to production area as required.
+ Remove finished goods from production area, put production tickets on pallets and properly and neatly store in warehouse.
+ Use SAP to tag finished product.
+ Scan items into and out of bin locations in warehouse so inventory is properly maintained.
+ Load and unload trucks properly. Ensure that material loaded and/or received matches bill of lading.

What You'll Be Doing:

Reads work orders and follows oral instructions as to certain materials or containers to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lift trucks.
Loads materials into or onto feeding devices or vehicles and may install strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage.
Conveys materials to or from storage and work areas to designed areas using lift trucks or other devices. Secures lifting attachment to materials and conveys load to destination.
May weigh materials or products and record weight or quantity on tags, labels, or production reports.
Check lubrications, fills fuel tank, changes batteries, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
May load and unload trucks.
Keeps all required records
Keeps forklift clean.
Follows all verbal and written instructions pertaining to material handling and any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned.
Empties trash on each shift.
If assigned to Inventory: maintains raw materials area in clean, orderly manner; delivers raw material to production line, as needed; receives incoming raw material and unload raw material trucks.
Schedule: Currently seeking weekend day or overnight shift candidates
1st shift 6:00AM - 4:30PM Monday to Thursday
3rd shift 7:00PM - 5:30AM Monday to Thursday, $1.50/hr premium
Weekend Day 6:00AM - 6:00PM Friday to Sunday, $3/hr premium

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience including: using forklifts in manufacturing or warehouse setting, using computers and completing paperwork
