The Woodshop / Shipping Specialist is responsibility for build customized crates according to part specifications, load and unload trucks with forklifts or cranes, uncrate and unpackage product and stage to designated location, and processing inbound and outbound machined parts. Other duties as assigned
Essential/Key Functions:
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, construct wood crates, pack, wrap, label, and ship).
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high.
Assist in organizing stock and maintain inventory
Daily use of overhead cranes to load and unload large inventory.
Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document any instances
Expedite / prioritize workload
Unload and put away incoming inventory items appropriately.
Abide by all company policies and safety policies.
Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize shipping and receiving procedures.
Keep shipping and receiving clean and organized daily (5's).
Operates forklifts / cranes to transport large items around the plant.
Addresses and resolves any shipment or delivery errors.
Updates management or supervisor on the status of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
Movement of raw material and finished goods throughout the facility and in the yard
Assist with yearly physical inventory
Competencies:
Utilize pneumatic tools, radial chop saw, crow bars, impact drivers, etc
Forklift and crane experience
Carpentry / Woodworking skills
Basic math, measuring, and computer skills
A team player with strong organization skills
A positive mindset with the willingness to learn and seek out efficiencies and optimize standards

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the **Terminal Operators** are responsible for the safe operation of a cement distribution terminal. It requires the hands-on operation and occasional maintenance of all terminal equipment, developing a proficiency in bulk truck and bulk railcar operations.
Safety, quality, and customer service are the primary focus of the terminal. The terminal receives product by bulk rail transport, stores the product, and loads customer bulk trucks. The manner in which trucks are expedited, customers are handled, and qualities are ensured are key functions of this position. This is a safety sensitive position.

+ Load bulk trucks correctly, provide legal weights and proper product for customer delivery/pick-up.
+ Perform routine maintenance on all terminal property and equipment. Maintain the terminal in a clean and presentable state.
+ Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments and inventory records.
+ Responsible for unloading railcars, transferring of product into proper silos, sampling and testing of products received and shipped.

Primary Responsibilities
Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading.
Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces.
Utilize Dock Yard Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center.
Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
Insure the quality loading of all trailers.
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.

(Pushing/Pulling) Must be able to perform frequent pulling and pushing of freight with or without the help of freight pulling equipment up to 100lbs. Must also be able to push and pull forklift blades, forklift gas tanks, deck bars, and other freight related items.
(Hearing/Speaking) Must be able to see parts in and on the forklift mechanical equipment for pre and post inspections. Must be able to hearing the horns of other forklifts and shouted instructions and warnings.
(Reaching) Must be able to frequently reach for freight at waist level and occasionally reach for freight above shoulder height or below waist level. Must be able to reach for forklift controls, pushing deck bars, and placing/strapping airbags/straps/cardboard. Must be able to reach while sweeping work areas clean of debris.

Must be able to pinch fingers on the right, left or both hands to shrink wrap, secure and unsecure straps, utilize clip boards, utilize tablets, etc.
Must be able to use cognitive skills for:
paying attention to surroundings, including cross-dock traffic, forklift inspections, freight, gates, etc.
long-term and short-term memory for inspecting areas, breaking down pallets, carrying products, driving in cross-dock traffic and for safety
logic and reasoning in reading manifests, tablets, reading boxes and order numbers
Auditory and visual processing to inspect forklifts, driving, reading, listening for horns and/or other cross-dock traffic and speaking with other dock workers. Must be able to see and read bills of lading, tablets for yard management systems, and read printed materials. Must be able to see and scan areas of work for debris and defects.
(Other) Must be able to work a variety of times and shifts in order to meet customer pick up and delivery schedules.
Ability to work in extremely hot or cold climates, ability to work in an environment where noise and odors may be present.

Maintain and clear trails using chainsaws and other trail maintenance equipment.
Communicate trail conditions and grooming reports with the Activities Supervisor and Activities team daily.
Monitor machine service hours and coordinate maintenance or repairs with the Engineering Manager.
Keep all vehicles clean, fueled, and in good operating condition; perform minor repairs and inspections.
Complete grooming logs, reports, and timecards accurately and on time.
Practice safe operating procedures at all times and follow company SOPs and safety standards.
Be adaptable to changing schedules and start times based on guest needs, weather, and snow conditions.
Must be comfortable working overnight in dark, cold conditions-most grooming shifts occur at night.
Treat all guests and team members encountered on the trails with kindness, courtesy, and respect, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating snowcats or heavy equipment.
Solid understanding of snow composition and snow grooming techniques.
Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge of grooming equipment and machinery.
Strong snowmobile handling skills in a variety of snow conditions.
Working knowledge of Nordic skiing, including both classic and skate disciplines.
Ability to operate chainsaws and perform trail maintenance duties safely.
Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed primarily outdoors in winter weather, including snow, wind, and temperatures down to -30°F.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 75 lbs (e.g., grooming equipment, trail supplies).
Requires regular bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on uneven, icy, or snowy terrain.
Work schedule may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
Must be comfortable working alone at night and in low-visibility conditions with minimal supervision.
Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing weather and trail conditions.

Functional Summary
Reporting to the Job Superintendent, the Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader. This position operates loaders equipped with a front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stockpile aggregates. Stripping and other dirt work is also required.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Loader Operator include, but are not limited to:
Equipment Operation
Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material;
Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
Operate Loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of their surroundings.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loade
Must have a solid understanding of, and comply with company policies and procedures.
