We have an exciting opportunity for an Autonomous Vehicle Trainer responsible for conducting training for new drivers. The ideal candidate will have a clean DMV record of 3+ years with no citations and a strong adherence to compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You should be able to take complete ownership of the training program while continually seeking ways to improve and increase its value. Key Responsibilities: Training & Development: + Plan and deliver classroom/virtual training sessions, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics (training room, projector, etc.). + Utilize facilitation skills to accommodate different learning styles with available content, presentations, and visual aids. + Conduct sessions on established diagnostic guides and troubleshooting procedures for Pixel phones, gLinux laptops, and monitoring cameras. + Manage the training program according to business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System. + Evaluate drivers and employees through regular assessments during classroom/on-the-job training. + Conduct practice and behind-the-wheel driving checks, certification/recertification, and coaching sessions. + Govern and follow up with learners for the closure of learning plans on the LMS. + Maintain classroom equipment through monthly requisition and inventory. + Participate in client calls for process updates and conduct debrief sessions. + Mentor new instructors on subject matter and course delivery techniques. + Investigate incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries to determine fault or preventability and loop back to training. + Provide assistance and training to drivers and attendants on passenger management and safety-related issues. + Perform driver checks to identify training opportunities and retrain as necessary. + Actively participate in weekly meetings with site leads, operations leads, and other peers for training improvement discussions. Training Administration & Reporting: + Prepare daily/weekly training status reports with feedback for all participants. + Manage daily attendance of drivers and address any issues. + Maintain certification/assessment records of all training sessions. + Measure pre-training and post-training scores for need-based training interventions. + Hold regular meetings with the Site Coordinator, cross-site Instructors, and the Training Manager for inter-team coordination and communication. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until April 23rd, 2025. The hourly rate for this position is between $26 - $28 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
