We are seeking a Logistics Operation Support for a position in Omaha, NE. The Logistics Operation Support role will assist client personnel by moving and locating loading assets including routine tasks consisting of asset preparation, job site preparation, and loading support as trained. Non-exempt role; Reports to site manager, site superintendent, or foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Essential Qualifications:

A Brief Summary of This Position
The End Prep Operator is responsible for preparing tubes by removing excess burrs and ensuring product quality through visual inspection. Key tasks include deburring both the inner and outer diameters (I.D. and O.D.) of tubes, operating tools such as handheld grinders and rotary files, and ensuring tubes are straight before passing them to the next process. Adhere to all required safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and following safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members, bundlers, and inspectors to share information, address issues, and ensure efficient operation and quality control.
Assist with tube setups on the mill when changing tube sizes, ensuring smooth transitions and proper configurations.
Occasionally use a dial indicator to check tolerance levels and ensure pipe straightness and accuracy.

Physical/Environmental Requirements
Standing on a concrete floor
Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)
Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55lbs
Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicals
Vision correctable to 20/20
Education & Professional Qualifications
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to plan work on a daily basis, work independently and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual
Ability to work with a team and effectively interact with other departments
Knowledge / Experience
Prefer candidate with 1 year of work experience within manufacturing, or a technical and/or trade discipline
Demonstrated competency in computer and pc software including MS Office and email
Prefer candidate with knowledge of inventory control principles
Preferred science background or previous laboratory experience
Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, or other equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
1+ years of lab or quality experience
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to quickly respond.
Ability to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces
Computer / iPad literate with the ability to enter, record, maintain, and retrieve data.

Role overview & responsibilities
Reporting to the Supervisor or Manager, the Forklift Driver is responsible for operating and maintaining a sit-down forklift to load and unload pallets to and from trailers as well as move pallets to correct locations throughout the warehouse.
Complete daily inspections of forklift using checklist.
Ensure forklift is in safe operating condition.
Refuel tanks, following procedures to change out propane tanks or charge electric tanks.
Complete and confirm accuracy of loads on paper or electronically, verifying counts of good and bad loads as well as being the last to inspect all trailer loads.
Move pallets from one area to another in the warehouse.
Ensure that all materials that are moved from one location to the next are properly accounted for and marked for proper documentation.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
Maintain safe working conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling all related equipment and material.
Comply with all PLA policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
Assist in other areas of the warehouse as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
Adjust as needed to new reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules to meet the company needs and business requirements.
Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
Cooperate and work well with team members and management, maintaining clear and open communications at all times.
What you'll need
6+ months of experience, preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Must pass PLA's forklift certification test.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MATERIAL ASSOCIATE, MATERIAL HANDLER OR LOADER POSITION
You will operate a multidirectional lift or Hyundai, counter balance lift to pick loose material orders. Must be able to operate lift in tight quarters, maneuvering in various locations throughout the 50+ acre site. Loose material includes lumber, panels, hardware, engineered wood products (EWP) and other products as the warehouse manager assigns. This position may also unloads incoming trucks and railcars and other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager. This person will be assigned areas of responsibility and is responsible for the neat organization and cleanliness of these areas.
All Shifts are Monday - Friday with NO WEEKENDS
1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:15 PM (Monday - Friday) -- Starting Pay $20/Hour
Required Qualifications for both positions
* Minimum 1-3 years of forklift experience preferred but not required.
* Must be able to lift up to 101lbs at one time occasionally. Material Associates will be off forklift more than on, lifting 25-50 lbs on a regular basis. Materia Handlers will be on a forklift 90% of the time with less physical lifting required.
* Must detail orientated and precise and operate a forklift in tight quarters in a full yard
* Operate forklifts in safe manner.
* Prior forklift certification preferred.
* Attention to detail and able to load materials in a cart in preparation for loader position to load onto flatbed trailers for safe transport.
* Efficiently organizes and maintains the storage area.
* Accurately load all products listed on load sheet documents.
* Accurately records lumber taken to the plant inside racks and scans all items picked in carts.
* Ensure that products are damage free.
* Assists in other warehouse functions as needed.
Additional Functions
* Ensure all work is performed safely.
* Work in other areas or projects as assigned.
* Any other duties assigned by Warehouse Manager.
