Responsibilities: Inbound Freight: Counts all products, compares to manifest and checks all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Reports shortages, damages and mis-shipments on appropriate forms. Signs for inbound shipments when necessary. Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations. Maximizes space usage. Properly and safely puts away items onto the racks. Outbound Freight: Compares quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Accepts signatures for outbound as necessary. Efficiently moves product into outbound delivery vehicles. Facility / Equipment: Maintains equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operates equipment safely and efficiently. Complies with all local, OSHA or Expeditors' standards. Inventory: Keeps accurate records and reports. Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensures proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in computer. Other Duties: Repacks or re-boxes cases per customer instructions. Repairs and re-boxes damaged goods as required. Operates shrink-wrap machine if assigned. Can utilize RF scanning gun or basic warehouse and shipping software. Any other duties as designated by supervisor. Qualifications: A. Education (preferred level) high school degree. Experience (minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 12 months or more. Knowledge/ Skills: Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements. Special Requirements: Must have excellent work habits. Must pass a background check, if applicable in state, region or geography. Forklift certification is required and needs to have experience with forklift and turret truck.

Ensure that the facility operates within permit compliance, at/above design capability and produces high quality product at all times. Complete daily driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR's) * Initiate emergency procedures, when conditions warrant, to ensure personnel safety and to prevent damage to plant and equipment * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required including entrance into confined space areas for general cleaning and inspections. Document and report any malfunctions or unsafe conditions * Enforce and maintain standard safety procedures as well as perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the facility to include sweeping, shoveling and other housekeeping activities * Process all material in a safe, effective timely manner for hauling to appropriate location and in compliance with all company, federal, state and local regulation/policies

Overview The Production Operator II works daily to support production of medical foods and formula. Assignments are frequently repetitive but additionally utilize basic hand-held and manual equipment.
