Summary
The primary role for the Material Handler is moving material around the plant or work site with a forklift and/or crane in order for production to run smoothly. The person in this role will perform multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. They are responsible for transporting material around the plant with a forklift and/or heavy machinery and prioritizing requests in order for production to run smoothly and efficiently
Responsibilities
* Moves material around plant using a forklift for producing finishing, packaging, or shipping parts.
* Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production.
* Observes machine processing for proper functioning and production of parts.
* Loads and unloads their assigned machine and packs product for the forklift.
* Performs visual and/or manual inspection as needed.
* Completes required paperwork.
* Assists operator with set-ups and running production as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Desired Experience
* Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
* Ability to frequently bend and stoop
* Able to follow verbal and written instructions

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed
Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
Assembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and/or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department according to OH or customer pick sheet
Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipment
Requirements:
High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operating and managing of industrial equipment to load, unload and move product and packaging, from storage areas, machines and loading docks. Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations.
