Position Summary
The Roll Form Subject Matter Expert (SME) will serve as the primary technical authority for roll forming operations, tooling, setup, and process improvement. This role focuses on supporting production teams through technical training, process troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The SME will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure optimal equipment performance, high product quality, and efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical expert for all roll forming processes, equipment, and tooling.
Support operators and technicians in setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting complex issues.
Collaborate with engineering to develop and refine roll form tooling and machine parameters.
Analyze production data to identify and resolve process inefficiencies.
Lead efforts to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and enhance machine uptime.
Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
Provide hands-on training and mentorship to roll form operators and setup personnel.
Participate in new product introductions and equipment commissioning.
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action efforts.
Assist maintenance and engineering teams in identifying and resolving mechanical or process-related issues.
Promote and uphold safety standards in all operations.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
8-10 years of experience in roll forming, metal fabrication, or precision manufacturing.
Deep technical understanding of roll form machinery, tooling, and process setup.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and process documentation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred:
Associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Responsibilities: Receivers will unload live and drop trailers and transfer items to the various stockrooms around the warehouse to be racked. Inventory control forklift operators will feed the Production lines as needed based on customer specifications and FIFO requirements, perform stock rotations within the various stockrooms, and conduct special counts/cycle counts as needed. Loaders will pick their own orders and load the trailers based on customer freshness rules and trailer load configurations. All forklift operators will use the RF scan guns to capture the movement of all items within the warehouse, ensure cleanliness of their work area and the equipment they use, report any mishaps/accidents immediately, and recommend process or safety improvements.
Skills Required: Reading with comprehension, proficient in basic math, knowledge of operating RF scan guns, operation of stand-up/sit-down forklift.
Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age, High School Diploma or GED, 1-year experience in loading and receiving with a minimum of 6 months of stand-up/sit-down forklift operations. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. Willing to work any shift, weekends, and some holidays.

Night Shift hours start between 7:15pm-7:30pm and end between 5:55am-6:10am
Shift schedule depends on location
During training you work 5 shifts that are 8 hours a day for 1-2 weeks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operate small industrial vehicles including but not limited to- stand up forklift, sit down forklift, vna (very narrow aisle) forklift, cherry picker, tugger, reach truck, small box truck, or pallet jack as needed
Assist in the management and distribution of goods within BMW's logistics system
Move and transport parts and pallets from incoming trucks and stack them in assigned locations, including racks that are up to 30 ft. high
Use a cherry picker forklift or reach truck to move and transport large items on warehouse shelves
Responsible for scanning, picking, sequencing, inspecting, transporting and moving parts within the plant to ensure the production line has the correct parts in a timely manner
Perform general warehouse duties as necessary
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and show problem-solving and multitasking skills
Must be able to maintain a stationary position during a shift
Must be able to position self to shift between upright and low stances
