Additional Job Description:
The Terminal Operator will be a critical part of the Terminal Operations team reporting to the Terminal Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety in the workplace and all regulatory standards. The Terminal Operator is expected to perform safely all duties related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and quality of petroleum products.
Facilitate the safe movement, receipt, and shipment of product between pipelines, rail cars, tanker trucks, marine and storage tanks by strictly following policies and procedures and ensuring proper system lineup
Ensure that product transactions are properly measured, accurately documented, and conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures
Proper tank gauging by physically climbing the tanks and reading a gauge tape
Use basic analytical test equipment and follow procedures for performing and documenting product quality assurance testing
Assist in the maintenance and repair of metering devices, pumps, valves, and related equipment, and perform meter calibration
Equipment investigation, repair/or replacement of parts
Perform and document transport truck and routine terminal inspections
Stock balancing and reporting
Interact with government agencies
Manage drivers for safe loading and unloading in facility
Minor Terminal hardware & maintenance purchasing in accordance with company procedures
Perform terminal housekeeping and light labor duties including litter clearing including terminal inspections
Ensure safe handling of fuels while receiving product via pipeline
Promote and enforce health, safety, security, and environmental activities - intervene when necessary
Measurement assurance
Proper tank gauging
Marine PIC
Daily environmental inspections (LDAR)
Identify, investigate, & escalate issues with close attention to detail
Analyze and comprehend reports
Interact with government agencies
Perform calibrations on various equipment
Vapor systems investigation, repair and routine maintenance

Read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams P & IDs
Participate in security protocols at the facility as required and report incidents to appropriate parties

Controlling traffic and entrance gates

Other tasks identified and needed for safe, environmentally sound, and reliable operations
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
Must possess a current, valid driver's license
Operate a forklift

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. In addition, the Loader Operator will be required to maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility. Furthermore, the Loader Operator will be responsible for the daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine. In addition, the operator will maintain a safe work environment and be required to follow and be held accountable to company guidelines for safe loader operation. Finally, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operates company equipment safely.
Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Records vehicle information accurately and legibly.
Operates digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
Sets up yard for auctions within company timelines.
Provides service to customers as needed.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor.
Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.).
Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required.
Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:
HS diploma or GED preferred.
At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
The Forklift Drivers works under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this position, including arriving at your work station on time at the start of your shift and after rest and meal periods.
Checks fork lift for safety precaution before operating.
Ability to accurately use RF gun.
Accurately removes or places merchandise from/in warehouse locations.
Duties may include receiving, put away, picking, replenishment, consolidating, loading and staging.
May perform order filler and checker duties.
Completes all records and reports as required.
Maintain inventory control and proper stock rotation.
May assist in physical inventories, bin sweeps or cycle counting
Restacks and re-wraps merchandise on pallet.
Pulls merchandise for production ensuring correct SKU#, description, amount on skid, available location, moved from, moved to, and quantity.
Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment.
Complies with safety rules and regulations
Maintains cleans work area in accordance with company standards.
Assists, when necessary, with other warehouse and/or production related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age with clean/safe driving record.
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and procedural written instructions.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide so that accurate logs may be maintained.
The ability to communicate effectively with leads, supervisors and coworkers.
The ability to pass the OSHA required training and testing for powered industrial trucks.
