The Forklift Operator operates and manages movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria and fulfills production needs.
Starting pay range is $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensures that the warehouse is kept clean, orderly and all materials are properly stored.
Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

**Job Summary:**
Will prepare and maintain snow surfaces that are safe and functional for skiers and snowboarders during all snow and weather conditions. An operator will also fulfill the hauling, dozing, and grooming needs of other mountain departments in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assists with all special projects including but not limited to snow maintenance and special events.

**Job Resposibilities:**
+ Ability to perform advanced skills such as operating, dozing and grading in confined areas or on steep
+ Understand the use, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment used for snow/slope grooming
+ Operate snow/slope grooming equipment, such as a snowcat, to maintain the appearance and quality of resort snow trails and ski slopes to the highest level possible
+ Maintain a general knowledge of the mountain and adhere to safety regulations
+ Perform basic routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime
+ Communicate advanced mechanical problems or maintenance needs with shop mechanics
+ Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to provide direction, support, and maintain good working relationships
+ Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements:**

The Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles with a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. In addition, the Loader Operator will be required to maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility. Furthermore, the Loader Operator will be responsible for the daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of their assigned machine. In addition, the operator will maintain a safe work environment and be required to follow and be held accountable to company guidelines for safe loader operation. Finally, through a thorough understanding of Copart policy, the Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
Operates company equipment safely.
Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
Records vehicle information accurately and legibly.
