Key Responsibilities
Assists in the maintenance and of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
Performs pre/post operation inspection of equipment in accordance with Casella safety standards as well as state and federal regulations to ensure all safety equipment and devices are operational and secured properly to equipment.
Monitors recycled materials for evidence of unacceptable or hazardous waste in materials.
Inspects the condition of the equipment frequently to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize downtime and cleans wheels on equipment as needed.
Operates equipment following all safety and training protocols and ensures that the facility is properly maintained.
Provides technicians with detailed information about mechanical issues to ensure equipment can be repaired in a timely manner.

Apprentice:

Operator I:
Demonstrates a complete understanding of Casella's lockout tagout procedures and has the ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Has an ability to complete pre-trip/operations checklists properly before operating equipment. Demonstrates the ability to operate both a forklift and a recycling baler while following all safety standards. Expresses interest in learning to operate an additional piece of equipment.
Operator II:
Exhibits development and improvement of communication skills with customers and coworkers. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the various types of acceptable and unacceptable materials. Has the ability to operate three of the following pieces of equipment involved in recycling operations: recycling baler, forklift, skid steer, loader/excavator. Lead Operator:
Demonstrates a complete understanding of the recycling process and all acceptable and unacceptable materials. Is able to operate all equipment involved in recycling operations. Exhibits the ability to direct other operators in daily responsibilities. Possesses a 2a and 1c hoisting license issued by the state. Demonstrates the ability to train and mentor other operators and actively participates in the company's progress with the career path program to help operators move up in their careers.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, have an ability and willingness to work under many different weather conditions, and be legally eligible to work in the US. A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment, proven commitment to work and safety and excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Although not required, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, prior experience operating heavy equipment and relevant certifications are preferred.

What You Will Do
* Work as part of a team to safely, accurately, and efficiently move product in our distribution warehouse and off-site warehouse.

Available Shift
* 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
* Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products to the appropriate areas, including forklift and clamp truck
* Load and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standards
* Stock all goods in a safe and stable manner
* Communicate pertinent information to relief at shift change
* Follow all safety policies and procedures
* Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner; knowledge of 6S is a plus
* Know locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers
* Complete forklift checklist
* Monitor and record all products returned or received
* Check accuracy of finished product count on pallets, verify product ID, ensure pallets have only one Port Ticket when removed from lines, and accurately complete all required paperwork

**What You'll Do**
+ Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently
+ Pull, issue, and deliver materials to production and assembly areas
+ Process goods receipts and stock transactions in SAP using PC or Zebra scanners
+ Unpack, label, and stock incoming materials accurately
+ Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation of material movement
+ Support 5S standards to keep work areas organized and compliant
+ Identify and help resolve material flow or scheduling issues
+ Follow all safety procedures and delivery timelines
**What You'll Bring**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Prior experience in material handling, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
+ Forklift and/or Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) experience strongly preferred
+ SAP or ERP system experience is a plus
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
+ Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
+ Comfortable working independently in a production-driven environment
**Schedule & Pay**
+ Monday-Friday | **7:00 AM-3:30 PM** | Full-Time

Skills and Experience
General knowledge of the more complex bindery machines (i.e. fully automatic binding machines (perfect binders), multiple station collators and multiple folding units, either individually or combined) to perform the full range of standard and specialized folds of printed materials.
Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of one or more bindery machines to perform the full range of standard and specialized folding, collating and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product.
Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided; independently makes decisions on the type of equipment to be used
Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock.
Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials.
Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines.
