JOB SUMMARY: This position supports technology development, production validation, as well as marketing and sales related activities. Detroit, MI Co is a steel tubing manufacturer 3rd shift: 9pm to 6am M-Thurs (Must train on days 6am to 2:30pm M-F)*Attendance is very important for this role Pay: $20/hr (more after conversion based on performance) Job Responsibilities Must have experience handling large steel industrial materials. Some tubing measures up to 24 feet in length, with bundles weighing approximately 3,000 pounds each. Candidates must be able to safely work with heavy materials using appropriate equipment and follow all safety protocols. Maintain a continuous supply of steel for the mill Remove and stack the bundles produced from the mill in a safe and organized manner Check with the mill operator for the required steel Verify the sequence of the quantity and the supplier to stage with the mill operator Review the mill orders; paying close attention to the lengths and quantity formulate a plan on where to safely stack the finished bundles The forklift driver is responsible for keeping the steel room organized.
