Position Overview
Execute safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the shipping department at the Sheboygan site. The operator must safely load and ship bulk outbound material into tank trucks, totes and drums, receive and transport to storage inbound material from both internal and external customers. This includes relocation of trailers around the plant using a capacity spotter. The shipper must also clean their work are and make minor repairs or adjustments.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, including Overtime as required to include days/nights/weekends
Job Responsibilities

* Issue and monitor Safe Work, Hot Work, and Confined Space Permits for maintenance and contractors.

* Perform analytical testing of in-process samples and finished products.

* Follow shipping schedule in SAP, print BOL's, pick and post goods issue.
* Create, maintain and confirm production orders for packaged goods.
* Create, maintain and complete process orders for formaldehyde blends.
* Fill drums, totes and pails and prepare for shipment.
* Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
* 2 years' work experience - industrial environment preferred
* Strong communication skills and ability to perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately.
* Troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to use a computer effectively with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer's literature, diagrams, or schematics.
* Safety focus in prior jobs

Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Operate battery-operated and/or gas-powered equipment, (other than motorized pallet jacks), for the purpose of transporting product to and from inventory storage locations within the facility. + Ensure all product is stacked neatly and safely when moved via power equipment and when stored in rack or staging locations
+ Maintain accuracy of all inventory movement at all times.
+ Inspect and perform or assist in equipment maintenance as required; report any unsafe conditions to management.
+ Responsible for the careful handling of all merchandise, avoiding damage, bending or tearing.

SUMMARY
Associates with the title of Power Equipment Operator must demonstrate proficiency and meet all productivity and quality requirements of the following duties and responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate battery-operated and/or gas-powered equipment, (other than motorized pallet jacks), for the purpose of transporting product to and from inventory storage locations within the facility. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, Forklifts, Stock pickers, Wave Work-Assist vehicles, Sit-Down and Stand-Up Counterbalanced trucks, Reach trucks, etc.
Must follow all power equipment rules and regulations, including any regulatory agency policies, to include OSHA.
Must use all personal protective safety equipment, including lanyards and harnesses to be worn at all times when operation order/stock pickers.
Must follow all facility safety rules and regulations at all times.
Demonstrate the ability to perform all scanner functions necessary for the position, including cycle-counts, replenishment, item inquiry, inventory put away, etc.
Ensure all product is stacked neatly and safely when moved via power equipment and when stored in rack or staging locations
Maintain accuracy of all inventory movement at all times.
Inspect and perform or assist in equipment maintenance as required; report any unsafe conditions to management.
Responsible for the careful handling of all merchandise, avoiding damage, bending or tearing.
Participate in Physical Inventory and Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale events.
Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy or quality standards for the work performed.
When necessary, assist in the processing of returned book fairs, by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book product, according to corporate process and procedure and meeting productivity and quality standards.
When necessary, assist in the picking and packing of customer reorders
Ensure that your work area is neat, clean, safe, and organized at all times.
Individually, and in partnership with other co-workers, perform seasonal inventory production-line resets.
When applicable, assist in the loading and unloading of trucks. The loading and unloading of trucks may or may not require the assistance of mechanical devices.
Ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety; report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or injury (to self or co-worker) to your supervisor or manager immediately.
Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects.
Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards to according to company standards.

What You'll Do:
The International/Wholesale Associate ll (w/cert) is responsible for safely and efficiently loading/unloading materials, staging materials, maintaining inventory organization, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires you to be forklift certified.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Efficiently operates the Materials Department equipment (including, but not limited to, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hand Trucks, and Pallet Tables) while prioritizing the Whisker Zero-Incident Safety Culture.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with coworkers, to achieve positive morale and cooperation.
Performs and documents Pre-Shift Powered Industrial Truck Inspections, informing the Materials Department Supervisor when maintenance is required.
Maintains Whisker Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
Follows and respects OSHA General Industry and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) directives and standards.
Embodies “service with a smile” when delivering materials to lineside workers.
Professionally interacts with visiting Truck Drivers, Suppliers, and Customers.
Loads and unloads tractor-trailers and containers, when needed.
Confirms the accuracy of outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries.
Participates in inventory cycle counting activities.
Engages in cross-training activities, as the Trainer and Trainee.
Engages in 5S ("Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain”) Activities.
Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when necessary.
Can pick and pack orders specific to customer needs
Performs additional responsibilities when required.
Requirements
What You'll Bring:
Working experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Prior forklift experience
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Ability to stand for an extended period
Able to stand/walk for extended periods
Able to lift up to 75 lbs
Able to bend, climb ladders, pull, push, reach as needed
Ability to work in various temperatures
Able to follow directions, use hand and power tools
Mechanical aptitude and good dexterity are helpful in this role
Must have a positive attitude
Must be an efficient worker who is organized and detail-oriented
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be eager to learn different areas of the company
