RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop indirect and logistics savings and improvement projects to enhance margins and other key KPIs

Review carrier invoices, address carrier damages, claims and packaging issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to lead in a team environment. 1. Shipping and receiving.

Individual may spend time in storage rooms, containers or outside on loading platforms, where exposed to the weather. However an Air Conditioned Office shall also be utilized along with a climate managed warehouse environment.

Must be able to accurately establish and keep paper and electronic records concerning equipment, funds, shipping, supplies, and other record information in an online computerized inventory, shipping and fulfillment system.

Must be capable of handling and using hand‐held scanners which may be used with computers to keep inventories up to date. Must be familiar with storage and retrieval of materials stored in bins, on floors, or on shelves.

Job Summary
Provides coordination or support of activities involving the upkeep, maintenance and possible deployment of the Mobile Treatment Facility (MTF). Makes arrangements and/or performs routine maintenance of MTF; performs and/or oversees preventative maintenance. Must be able to operate and drive MTF when needed and available to drive in short notice depending on situation.
Essential Functions
Performs routine maintenance of MTF including the tractor, tractor trailer and generator.
Assists in set up and break down of MTF and related logistics functions.
Performs preventative maintenance (electrical, plumbing, general construction and carpentry) for MTF.
Oversees deployment of vehicle in emergency situations.
Keeps a record of MTF resources before, during and after deployment.
Performs general housekeeping duties with regards to MTF.
Possesses general skill set regarding trailer and rig mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and preventative maintenance.
Facilitates and communicates repairs that requires specialized skills through outside vendors.
Physical Requirements
Duties require good physical stamina, endurance, and body mechanics which would not be adversely affected by having to lift, carry, and balance at times in excess of 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance). Work in extreme environmental conditions with limited resources/support as well as emotional circumstances can be expected. Hearing must be in normal range as well as near visual acuity to be able to take accurate vital signs and to detect any deterioration in the patient's condition. Good motor coordination is required. **HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT**
The Logistics Analyst Internship will focus primarily on items for the company's logistics department in warehouse and transportation operations.
Responsibilities include:
+ Audit transportation carrier detention and demurrage invoices and create monthly accrual file
+ Create weekly warehouse throughput forecast
+ Track and report detention / demurrage KPIs monthly, suggest actions to alleviate risks and costs
+ Create monthly report on overage tires to scrap
+ Compile weekly DC snapshot report to give top management an overview/summary of warehousing situation
+ Weekly review of throughput volumes
+ Assist with the shipping claim and freight audit process
+ Will work with transportation management on finding lowest total cost transportation solutions, including both sea and land freight
+ Create and update reporting on daily detention/demurrage spend
+ Look for innovative and cost savings initiatives in the inbound transportation area
+ Will focus on minimizing detention and demurrage costs for incoming product from both domestic and foreign plants
+ Track warehouse throughput daily
**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE**
+ Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program for at least another 12 months and can dedicate 12 months toward this internship
+ Student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science or another related field
+ Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)
+ Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8 or higher
+ Able to come onsite to our Fort Mill, SC Tire HQs 3 days/week
+ Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and developed math skills
