What does a Logistics Coordinator do?
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for championing and driving many daily operational initiatives within our growing domestic supply chain.
The chosen candidate will be exposed to a variety of transportation modes, including ocean freight, intermodal, truck load, LTL, air freight, and small parcel.
Domestic Transportation Responsibilities:
Provide general oversight on all domestic customer deliveries, monitoring for service exceptions
Route and manage assembled cabinet orders with our final mile freight provider
Book and monitor internal product transfers ensuring lowest cost and fastest transit
Monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure delivery schedule compliance
Receive, investigate, and respond to all escalated customer inquiries regarding shipment service exceptions
Assist warehouse teams with proper outbound routing for atypical shipments
Other Responsibilities:
Pursue and identify transportation cost reduction opportunities
Review, validate, and approve carrier invoices within our freight audit program
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Must be a self-starter and inquisitive in nature
Strong ability to multi-task, remain highly organized, and manage time efficiently
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivots, etc.), Word, and PowerPoint
Able to demonstrate problem solving methods to identify and correct root cause issues

* Maintains appropriate contact with US Postal Service representatives on updates and changes made to postal rules & regulations.
* Complies with the South State Bank Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
* Prepare correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying appropriate postage) of business mail.

Update CRM ACTIVITIES and NOTES promptly and maintain accurate data after each telephone call and email communique to also include uploading photos and scanned documents.
Create tasks and follow through to maintain accurate time sensitive notes.
Ensure compliance with PARS policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to applicable DOT regulations and Federal, State and Local laws.
In managers absence or through managers direction calculate and offer flat fees on orders by way of emailing the bid sheet to all ICs.
Manage Storage Facility (where applicable):
Manage on a daily basis the storage vehicle facility location - numbers of vehicles in and out of the storage facility to customers, detail shops and repair shops using VIN and order verifications.
Checking vehicle in and out:
Reviewing vehicles and noting damage & issues.
Taking inventory of any items left in the vehicle.
Moving vehicle in and out of lot:
Bring vehicles into a secure lot when Drivers drop them off.
Bring vehicles out of the lot and have them stage for drivers to pick up.
Inventory:
Accounting all cars are on the lot.
Ensuring vehicles are starting and communicating issues to our HQ to have them addressed before they are reactivated.

JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Associate III will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions within the area. This role is the final check process before equipment moves over to setup and confirms order is complete and ready. This is a leadership role with a high level of responsibility and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receiving items needed and transferring equipment into the proper bins (not main Bin )
• Requesting equipment from purchasing and creating Transfer orders from other branches
• Tracking open Purchasing orders and Transferred Orders
• Works with purchasing for any needs and getting ETA
• Update sales orders on back order
• Manages best warehouse practices
• Managing the description field and the message tab for e-automate system
• Managing Back Orders with ETA to DEX
• Performing cycle counts in E-Auto on a monthly basis
• Develop and retain key talent for department
• Adheres to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
• Typically reports to: Regional Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager
• Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, vendors and customers
• Fork truck certification and experience
• Being able to work under pressure and working with the sales team
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs independently or greater weights via team lift or lift assist equipment.
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Being able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, to include Outlook and Excel
• Ability to complete basic math operations
• Ability to read and comprehend written procedures, write routine documents
• Ability to understand and execute multi-step oral and written instructions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Warehouse Experience/ERP Experience (Data Entry)
Worked in Multi department environment previously (knowledge and ability to communicate across Multiple Departments)
Or equivalent combination of education or experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Regular business hours, some additional hours may be required
• Travel requirements: Domestic: Up to 20%
• Ambient temperature warehouse or climate controlled office environment during normal business hours. Must be able to work in inclement weather as needed.
