Job Description Load Planning: As a Load Planner, you will be creating loads for drivers to transport. In this position, you will load shipments into McLeod, communicate with customers on short pays, and resolve issues on unbilled orders. Fleet Management: As a Fleet Manager, also known as Driver Manager, you will assist with directing drivers to fitting loads, arrange vacation time for the drivers, and be their first point of contact for any employment related issues. You will be taught the fundamentals of the fleet manager's position and the opportunity to manage your own small fleet of drivers. Reporting: To keep track of important business elements such as our revenue and loaded trucks, we have analysts that work daily to complete reports for the company. You will learn the importance of these reports and how to create them. Safety and Risk Management: It is very important to know the Hours-of-Service regulations and how they impact the transportation industry. You will also learn the importance of cargo securement and equipment maintenance and how it affects the shipment of a load and the safety of our drivers. Asset Management and Maintenance: It is important to be able to maintain the value and life of our assets by providing proper maintenance and care to our trucks. You will be able to learn the process of how we attain and maintain our assets, and how it impacts the daily operations of our drivers and our business. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a college or university with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Information Systems 2.5 GPA or greater Additional Information This job is an hourly position with no guarantees for career progression.
