How You Will Make an Impact
As a LogisticsSpecialist, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods across a multi-origin, multi-destination network. You'll be responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers.

Job Summary:
The LogisticsSpecialist (LS) supports 24/7 operations and performs operational, logistical support, and administrative tasks required to support ground and air transportation.
The LogisticsSpecialist works in conjunction with field staff and site leadership, Command Center, corporate logistics department, and stakeholders to coordinate the safe transport of minors and/or families and staff. He/she manages daily operations for inventory, supplies, distribution, facilities, and transportation for the site assigned. The LogisticsSpecialist conducts vehicle safety, including regular preventative and corrective vehicle maintenance, and ensures drivers are authorized to operate vehicles.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Follows company and contract policies, procedures, and guidance.
Prepares, reviews, and coordinates the documentation, personal property and special accommodations required for transportation of all minors and ensures all paperwork is provided for proper transport for reunification or transfer to shelter.
Assists with transfer of custody and property for small and/or large groups.
Keeps in constant communication with transport teams assuming custody of minors and/or family units, to include checking status of vehicles in route.
Informs Command Center and Site leadership of any transport cancellations.
Inventories, orders, and delivers meals, supplies, electronics, and/or clothing; prepares backpacks with essentials including tablet and mobile phone for trips.
Drives passengers to and from client sites and/or airports.
Installs/removes child car and booster seats based on age and height/weight, as required.
Observes and assists with UC and/or family unit orientation, answers questions, and describes the transport process.
Assists in charter flights/buses preparations, to include reviewing documentation, inspecting bathrooms for cleanliness to ensure high standard of quality, and driving to flightline.
Cleans vehicles, sanitizes interiors, and ensures they are fueled and ready for ground trips.
Checks vehicles for contraband and ensure coolers and emergency kits are in vehicles.
Updates information in the company's database systems (e.g., Canvas, Verizon Connect, Pantry, fleet system, etc.) and prepares transportation, equipment, inventory, and meal reports as well as Ad Hoc reports as required.
Assists in tracking, and monitoring logistics specific training (e.g., DOT, inventory, fleet, facilities, etc.) and assists with logistics projects as needed.
Assists management staff with cost benefit estimates as directed by supervisor.
Monitors and reports DOT compliance, camera surveillance and GPS tracking, driver IDs (e.g., key fobs), and Hours of Service information for compliance purposes and elevates concerns to supervisor and Site Manager.
Follows company quality control and inspection plans and executes the company's Fleet Management program, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), mileage tracking, registration, tolls, inspections, logs, etc., as required.
Tracks inventory and supplies; monitors availability of stock; coordinates with Logistics Supervisor and Site Manager on shortages.
Executes the facility management program, and reports any site repairs and building wear and tear to Logistics Supervisor and Site Manager
Participates in logistics synchronization meetings as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Possess an associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college (a high school diploma with two or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for an associate degree) and,
Have at least two years of documented experience in a field related to security, law, social work, detention, corrections, or similar occupational area; certification, licensure, and credentials applicable to the professional accreditation of the position (a minimum of four years of experience is required when a high school diploma with two or more years of relevant experience is substituted for an associate degree).
Two or more years' experience in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain or a related field.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (e.g., PM, inspections, safety checks, etc.,) as well as warehouse and inventory procedures (e.g., FIFO concept).

B. C. I have at least one year (12 months) specialized work experience that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission or program for initial acquisition. This experience is equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service, which could have been obtained in the private or public sectors.
D. Position Overview:

Requirements:

Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Process and maintain all of the incoming equipment product types for specified area
Assist with all aspects of inventorying both serialized and non-serialized product types, including work trunks and speciality equipment kits
Communicate with show personnel to gather accurate show requirements, and ensure that appropriate equipment is correctly entered into R2
Facilitate the accurate pulling of equipment according to R2
Track missing parts and create orders for replacement parts
Assist with generating and implementing best practices and SOP's for establishing quality control guidlines for equipment
Assist with identifying high priority equipment needs
Safely operate all types of warehouse equipment to complete daily tasks (forklifts, pallet jacks, stackers, rolling laders, etc.)
Assist with repairs of equipment as needed
Send damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate service personnel
Assist other areas within the Quality Control department if the need arrises

Logistics specialist job in Austin, TX
ICON is looking for a Print LogisticsSpecialist I to support logistics and planning our Print Operations team. This role is a full-time on site position based at our Austin, TX HQ campus with partial time spent in the field on ICON job sites. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for project planning with construction and project managers to identify support equipment, printer count and any special project needs.
* Create tracking processes and documentation so that the locations of all ICON equipment is known at all times.
* Continuously improve field processes by working with internal departments to iterate on and implement best practices.
* Ensure seamless coordination between teams, vendors, and internal departments to achieve operational efficiency.
* Participate in and contribute to daily standups for each project, providing required updates when necessary.
* Lead Go / No-Go meetings and provide adequate information for decision making that optimizes overall fleet productivity.
* Manage material logistics and consumable inventory processes to support field operations.
* Ensure accurate capacity planning of all rental equipment, materials, and printer support equipment, and that the plan is executed on time.
* Collaborate with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure seamless execution and project handoffs.
* Serve as the HQ point of contact (POC) for all in-field equipment escalations after supervisors on-site, coordinating repairs, fuel replenishments, and supply of all other project consumables.
* Handle maintenance and calibration for all field instruments, vehicles, heavy equipment, and rigging.
* Oversee Printer Bill of Materials and Jobox inventorying, and work with on-site technicians and supervisors to ensure ICON processes and regular audits are performed.
* Act as the primary owner for all Print Operations logistics processes.
* Review tool audits, identify shortages, and work with the inventory team to add tools or replacements to field supplies.
* Maintain and organize personal tool pouches and ensure all kits are complete before deployment.
* Conduct pre-deployment inspections of tools and equipment.
* Oversee printer organization, site cleanliness, and verify livery completeness prior to deployment.
* Conduct Y-rail maintenance and QC checks to ensure all components meet operational standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation for all Y-rail materials within the fleet.
* Perform quality control (QC) inspections on cylinders and coordinate courier pickups.
* Complete and maintain Chain of Custody (COC) forms for all cylinder shipments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of experience with industrial technical products, hardware, or equipment.
* A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Transportation and Logistics Management or a similar field.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to travel frequently (80%) to job sites.
* Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours to accommodate schedules.
* Previous experience in logistics, field operations, or construction support preferred.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, across multiple sites in a field environment.
* Familiarity with tool tracking systems, audits, and field equipment maintenance.
* Comfortable using digital tools and documentation platforms.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience as an ICON Print Technician.
* Experience in a logistics role scheduling the shipment of materials, equipment, or consumables necessary for a large industrial operation.
* Technical background in construction, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial automation.
* Experience with robotics, heavy equipment, or other technical hardware/software combinations.
* Experience working in a fast-paced technology or startup environment.
* Hands-on experience operating complex machinery or industrial equipment.
* Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliable, accountable, and safety-focused.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative in fast-paced field conditions.
