Position Overview
Logistics Manager
As the Logistics Manager for TAO Clean, you will focus on planning, optimizing and improving all aspects of the supply chain. From factory to warehouse as well as managing our 3PL partnerships for drop shipping to the customer's doorstep. We are one of the fastest growing oral care brands in the United States, and we're looking to bolster our team with the right expertise. The Logistics Manager will use their strong negotiation skills to improve costs and efficiencies within the operations department.
Responsibilities:
Identifies new opportunities to improve TAO Clean's inbound and outbound logistics strategy, inclusive of 3PL performance, market trends, and RFQ processes for driving efficiency and improving freight costs.
Identifies cost saving initiatives through analytical research and RFQ processes with new and existing vendors.
Meets with 3PL teams regularly to negotiate pricing, discuss forecasts, and improve planning.
Responsible for booking freight from our Asia factories to our US distribution centers.
Ensure all logistics activities comply with domestic and international regulations, including customs clearance and documentation requirements.
Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical audits on our 3PL for outbound freight to find efficiencies and best practices.
Analyzes Logistics Providers performance; develops and monitors performance improvement plans. Enforces service requirements for compliance to contractual obligations.
Review contractual requirements for cargo insurance and negotiate terms for the safe and efficient transport of inventory.
Report to the Director of Operations all analytical findings and recommendations for improvements across the supply chain.
Consistently run RFQ process for all 3PL sectors including: Inbound Freight Partners, International Warehouses, Consolidation Hubs, Outbound Freight Service Providers.
Visit our dropship 3PL facility at least 2x per year to ensure best practices are met and identify new areas of improvement.
Procures capacity for special projects, negotiates rates for these projects with our partners.
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Develops and negotiates contract language and terms with service providers in partnership with Director of Operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, inventory management, and sales, to align logistics operations with business objectives.
