A day in the life
The daily responsibilities of this Amazon logistics coordinator encompass a range of critical tasks to ensure smooth operations for the Janus business unit. About the team
Global Transportation Logistics (GTL) team supports the movement of non-inventory IT equipment (assets, spare parts, and consumables) across our fulfillment and delivery networks (including Data Centers). This team consists of both inbound/outbound logistics, reverse logistics programs, dangerous goods and import/export trade compliance.
The team is focused on continuously improving its logistics operations, saving costs, addressing compliance requirements, facilitating proper asset disposition, and expanding services to meet growing business needs.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Key job responsibilities
Conduct deep dive analysis of performance combining internal and external data sources
Must be able to systematically resolve problems with data integrity and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
Must be able to work senior leadership in conducting carrier MBR and QBR's.
Must be able to report key business health metrics and observations in business reviews.
Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make good quality data driven decisions.
Prioritize, optimize and deliver timely updates for all key metrics
Graphically visualize data to allow easy access to large sets of information and understanding for a broad range of people
Develop automation solutions for reports, tools and processes
Deliver operational improvements using data driven approach to root cause analysis and solution design
Continual, tactical communication with both external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (OTS, Finance, Regional Logistics, OTS Rapid Asset Deployment Centers).
Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed

About the team
Amazon's OpsTech Solutions (OTS) Supply Chain team plays a crucial role in managing the fulfillment of non-inventory IT assets across Amazon's diverse business units. The Global Transportation and Logistics (GTL) team, a vital component of OTS Supply Chain, serves as the cornerstone for all transportation and logistics operations. This dynamic team oversees carrier relationships, from initial onboarding through ongoing performance management, while continuously developing and implementing innovative logistics strategies. GTL operates as an end-to-end supply chain management organization, seamlessly collaborating with procurement, planning, compliance, and operations teams to drive process improvements and cost optimization initiatives. Through strategic partnerships with transportation service providers and internal stakeholders, the team ensures efficient delivery of IT assets while maintaining high service standards across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
Experience in program or project management
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
Experience in supply chain
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
Knowledge of SQL
2+ years of program or project management experience
2+ years of supply chain experience
