In this role you'll make an impact by:
Responsible for monitoring logistics costs, invoices, and cost analysis and maintenance.
Implement and suggest improvements related to operating costs and logistics.
Resolution of issues related to bonds, payment of customs and duties, invoice discrepancies, statements of account, PO adherence and any other pertinent issues.
Maintain updated records in internal systems and external platforms (such as CARM, CTPAT, ACH, Traqtion, ACE, P44), ensuring compliance.
Actively participate in the CTPAT Program to maintain certification, ensuring compliance with program requirements and integrity of processes.
Perform the monitoring of Intercompany shipments between origin and destination, interacting with freight forwarders, carriers and brokers to ensure visibility and control over the logistics process.
Assisting brokers and internal customers as necessary with documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading (BOL/AWB) to clean up and avoid customs issues.
Support other areas as related to imported products, such as technical clarifications and quotations.
Support the strategic objectives of the area, contributing to indicators such as cost reduction, delivery times and document compliance.
Participate in alignment meetings with freight forwarders, freight forwarders and carriers.
Monitor and record deviations from import and export processes.
Assist the Regional Logistics Manager with global and regional initiatives as necessary.
To succeed, you must hold:
Practical experience with Excel and SAP systems, for order management and logistics processes.
Experience with customs processes, including tax classification of goods (HS code) and proper documentation.
Understanding of CTPAT Program requirements and ability to support the maintenance of certification through operational compliance.
Experience in logistics and working with forwarders, customs brokers and 3PL's a plus.
Sufficient experience or a degree preferably with a focus on logistics or supply chain.

This is an on-site position. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The Logistics Coordinator plays a strategic and hands-on role in managing the inbound supply chain and supporting critical customer service operations. This position ensures efficient transportation across all modes and maintains compliance with domestic and international trade regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Order entry
Receive shipments from customers via email or portals
Build shipments in Valley TMS (Transportation Management System)
Make appointments at shipper and consignee
Update numerous customer portals with in and out times and appointment times
Update customers with ETAs
Close out loads in portals when needed
Update FSC (Fuel surcharge) in shipments
Help to grow the business with inside sales by asking customers for more freight
Communicate with customers on problem loads
Perform freight service according to company and government regulations
Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules
Work in sequence with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers
Maintain positive and productive relationship with carriers and drivers
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (preferred)

What you'll do on a typical day:
Inventory Management

Shipping and Receiving

What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
To be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent

The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator

The Opportunity
We're hiring a Logistics Coordinator at our Otsego, MN headquarters to help streamline field operations in our Construction Division.
