Roles and Responsibilities
This role will drive and scale the bulk logistics consulting business, focusing on advising clients in maritime and/or rail transportation. This role combines deep industry expertise with strong consulting and sales skills, supporting business development initiatives as well as hands-on client engagements. * Proactively identify new client opportunities in maritime and/or rail, serving transportation providers and shippers.

Required Qualifications

Execute and coordinate international shipments across ocean (FCL/LCL), air freight, and containerized cargo from booking through final delivery.
Prepare, review, and submit international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, and customs filings.

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) a plus but not required.
3-5+ years of hands-on logistics experience, with a strong emphasis on international shipping operations.
Demonstrated experience managing both domestic and international freight in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers across multiple modes of transportation.
International Logistics Expertise
In-depth knowledge of international trade compliance, including customs clearance procedures, import/export documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Direct experience coordinating with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and accurate submission of commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS codes, and country-of-origin documentation.
Strong working knowledge of Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.) and their financial and operational impact.
Experience managing ocean freight (FCL and LCL), including container booking, sailing schedules, demurrage/detention management, and port coordination.
Experience coordinating air freight shipments, including expedited and high-value cargo.
Understanding of container freight operations, container types, load planning, and international transit timelines.
Ability to proactively identify and resolve international shipping delays, customs holds, and compliance issues.
Domestic Logistics & Transportation
Experience coordinating domestic LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited shipments.
Familiarity with domestic carrier selection, routing optimization, and cost control.

Verifies goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders, or other documents.
Gives work leadership to other logistics associates and may serve as lead.
Communicates with inspectors, buyers, production personnel, and materials group.

Daily reporting of shipping status.
