About This Role


This role is in Textron System's Air Systems Core Engineering Group in our Specialty Engineering Department. This role is in Textron System's Air Systems Core Engineering Group in our Specialty Engineering Department. The Specialty Engineering Department is responsible for Safety, Reliability, Human Factors, and Logistics Engineering activities. This position is mainly focused on Reliability and Logistics Engineering although experience in the other areas of Specialty Engineering would be a plus.   • Leading Reliability and Logistics Engineering efforts related to one or more programs
  • Planning, managing, executing Specialty Engineering tasking across design, production, and sustainment life cycle phases
  • Reliability and Maintainability Allocations and Predictions
  • Reliability Modeling and Simulation
  • Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
  • Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) activity
  • Fielded system monitoring and reliability measurement
  • Fault Tree Analysis
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Spares Predictions and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Reliability and Logistics metrics, calculations, and statistics

**Description:**

The selected candidate for the C\-130J Logistics Systems Engineer \- Level 2 role will be a member of the LM Aero Sustainment Planning Integration \(SPI\) Program Support Team, providing technical support for the following C\-130J Sustainment Operations related activities:

• Change Management \(CM\) Processes

• Design Schedule Control \(DSC\) Engineering Support processes

• Diminishing Manufacturing Sources \(DMS\) tracking/reporting

Position includes supporting internal LM proposal processes, requirements assessment, Statement of Work \(SoW\) development, Basis of Estimate \(BOE\) quote submittals and negotiations support\.

Tasks include but not limited to: C\-130J Sustainment Operations team prime and supplier proposal planning and execution, Performance Based Logistics \(PBL\) strategic planning/execution, supplier technical evaluations, sustainment readiness reviews, integrated master schedule \(IMS\) planning/management, and Earned Value Management System \(EVMS\) management\.

Tasks also include supporting LM to Government/Customer interface activities\. The candidate will be expected to support technical, operational, and business coordination between C\-130J Sustainment Operations, Engineering and Program Management teams, as well as other internal functions to maximize horizontal and vertical organizational integration\.

This position also includes supporting the C\-130J sustainment operations supplier integration technical lead in directing daily team and individual tasks, activities and special assignments\. In addition, candidate will be required to support the team in briefing customers and executive level personnel on various aspects of the programs, including status on schedule and cost\.

Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information\.
