The Logistics Technician works as a team member to meet the needs for supplies and equipment at the end user department level in order to ensure quality patient care. Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Warehouse, inventory, and medical supply experience preferred.
Skills:
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations. Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in cooperation with other team members in a fast-paced environment. Must possess keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
As part of the revenue cycle team, the Logistic Technician is responsible for gathering all demographic, financial and insurance information at the time a patient presents for service for Emergency Room Registration. The Logistic Technician is responsible for verifying all information for accuracy, thus ensuring prompt billing of all insurance claims as well as prompt billing to the patient. Additional duties include patient financial clearance process management and providing analytics necessary to determine applicable account disposition including, but not limited to, funding source identification/qualification, ability to pay and/or qualification for charity.
The Logistics tech, where applicable, will adhere to applicable rules and regulations, such as EMTALA, while performing their primary responsibilities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
+ Some college, Business Administration or Public Health Administration
+ High School Diploma or GED Required
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
+ Preferably two(2) years of typing with minimum of 50 wpm
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
+ Ability to deal with the public in a diplomatic, tactful and professionally persistent manner;
+ Ability to demonstrate appropriate analytical skills sufficient to financial clear patients via established protocols and utilizing all technological enablers provided for that purpose.
