Responsibilities

The Logistics Technician works as a team member to meet the needs for supplies and equipment at the end user department level in order to ensure quality patient care. Accurately inventories, orders, picks and distributes materials to meet customer demand. Answers calls for immediate supply or equipment needs from end user departments.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Warehouse, inventory, and medical supply experience preferred.

Skills:

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations. Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in cooperation with other team members in a fast-paced environment. Must possess keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Develops skills in a variety of functions to support the facilities department.
Performs duties related to shipping and receiving, mail services, inventory management, warehousing, support services, fleet management and hazardous materials management on a rotating basis.
Duties may include organizing and maintaining files, preparing reports, delivering and sorting incoming/outgoing mail, servicing and/or operating Getty auto fleet and equipment, ordering supplies, moving furniture, fixtures and equipment and other items, providing set up and tear down support, and interacting with Getty visitors as necessary.
Responsibilities
Applies knowledge of facilities support functions to assignments of moderate complexity
Provides routine support to assigned areas including x-ray machine operation, data entry, mail
processing, supplies receiving and delivering, basic auto servicing and maintenance, materials
handling and equipment operation
Moves furniture, fixtures, equipment and other items as assigned
May set up event-related equipment per specifications such as tables, chairs, umbrellas, trash
cans, portable heaters, visual barriers, stages, etc.
Maintains records
Gains exposure to multiple functions and develops understanding of policies and procedures
associated with each function
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Minimum 2-3 years experience in a logistics function
Customer service experience a plus
Requires a valid California Driver License with fewer than 3 DMV points
Ability to obtain forklift certification
Ability to obtain hazardous materials handling certification within the first year

GENERAL SUMMARY:

As part of the revenue cycle team, the Logistic Technician is responsible for gathering all demographic, financial and insurance information at the time a patient presents for service for Emergency Room Registration. The Logistic Technician is responsible for verifying all information for accuracy, thus ensuring prompt billing of all insurance claims as well as prompt billing to the patient. Additional duties include patient financial clearance process management and providing analytics necessary to determine applicable account disposition including, but not limited to, funding source identification/qualification, ability to pay and/or qualification for charity.

The Logistics tech, where applicable, will adhere to applicable rules and regulations, such as EMTALA, while performing their primary responsibilities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

+ Some college, Business Administration or Public Health Administration

+ High School Diploma or GED Required

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

+ Preferably two(2) years of typing with minimum of 50 wpm

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

+ Ability to deal with the public in a diplomatic, tactful and professionally persistent manner;

+ Ability to demonstrate appropriate analytical skills sufficient to financial clear patients via established protocols and utilizing all technological enablers provided for that purpose.

+ Ability to work cooperatively with other employees Demonstrable ability to utilize standard software programs.
