Pros of working at Lolli and Pops

Discount on candy. Litterally all there is.

Cons of working at Lolli and Pops

1. Staffing issues. Always. Always understaffed and never enough hours to give people to keep the store properly staffed or allowing us to hire extra people for extra coverage 2. Inventory mismanagement. The warehouses are always empty, unpopular product is sent out by the dozens, product that is popular in some regions but unpopular in others get the same amount of inventory instead of adjusting the quantity to prevent loss from expiration. 3. Loyalty program. It needs to be updated. Alot of customers either will forget their account (even after we have ASKED) or will want to sign up at home later. A QR code needs to be added or a number code so people can get their points. 4. Possible mismanagement of financials. This kind of ties the inventory and staffing together but still important to be its own category.

Lolli and Pops benefits

Nothing.

What do you like best about Lolli and Pops's CEO and the leadership team?

Nothing

How did you prepare for the Lolli and Pops interview?

I didnt. I was hired on the spot. My store was that desparate for people.

How would you improve Lolli and Pops's culture?

Complete overhaul. New CEO, CFO, everyone new district and regional managers. The whole "we need to spend as little money as possible to pad our bonuses" needs to go. My store manager and I enjoy working because of our coworkers and customers but not for the higher ups.

How does your compensation at Lolli and Pops compare to the industry average?

There is no compensastion. The benefits you get as a store manager, you still cannot even afford their basic medical insurance. As a part-timer, which everyone except the store manager is, gets no compensation, no sick days, nothing.

What's the diversity at Lolli and Pops like?

I have only experienced my store so i am unsure of what the demographics are in other regions or even in the higher ups.

What brings you the most joy at Lolli and Pops?

Working with my coworkers

Pros of working at Lolli and Pops

The candy

Cons of working at Lolli and Pops

Everything is a con. The company routinely throws its retail workers under the bus for its own problems. Store isn’t full? Manager gets in trouble, while corporate ignores the fact the warehouse has no product to send and product in store doesn’t sell and just continues to expire. Store isn’t staffed? Couldn’t possibly be because there are no applications because of how low the wages are. Someone did overtime? Oh no, let’s pretend like the store isn’t staffed and we aren’t allowed to close early- ever. Corporate comes in and complains about the on going mice problem but doesn’t bother to follow up on all the tickets that have been placed and ignored by the home office

Lolli and Pops benefits

None

What do you like best about Lolli and Pops's CEO and the leadership team?

The CEO will act to get things fixed if she knows about them, but things rarely make their way to her

How would you improve Lolli and Pops's culture?

Everything. You can’t complain about lack of accountability when the home office has none itself

How did you prepare for the Lolli and Pops interview?

I had no interview. I was hired on the spot. Should have been my first red flag

How does your compensation at Lolli and Pops compare to the industry average?

Horrible. I made more as a shift lead than an manager in other companies

What's the diversity at Lolli and Pops like?

Women are well represented but not many people of color

What brings you the most joy at Lolli and Pops?

Nothing anymore
