ABOUT THE POSITION
The Long Beach Community College District is looking to hire two (2) full-time tenure track Mathematics Instructors commencing with the 2026 Fall semester. Under the direction of the Chief of Police or his/her designee, the Institutional Police Officer works in the San Francisco Community College District Police Department and acts as a peace officer pursuant to Section 830.32(a) of the California Penal Code and Section 72330 of the California Education Code. The San Francisco Community College District Police Department is a Peace Officers' Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) participant. Job Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
1. Maintain law and order within and surrounding City College campuses and other district sites.
2. Provide a safe and secure environment for the students, faculty, staff and visitors.
3. In a professional and courteous manner; respond to all emergencies on District property.
4. Uphold the laws and statues of the State of California, municipal and criminal, enforce state and local ordinances, rules and regulations related to the San Francisco Community College District.
5. Provide assistance and /or first aid.
6. Perform traffic control and investigate traffic collisions.
7. Issue verbal warning or issue citations for violations observed and issue parking citations.
8. Patrol assigned areas in a marked patrol vehicle and/or on foot.
9. Provide money escorts upon request on District property.
10. Conduct investigations of various crimes committed; interview suspects. victims and witnesses in the field; make arrests as necessary; prepare reports on arrests, burglaries, disturbances and unusual circumstances observed.
11. Make felony/misdemeanor/warrant arrests as necessary which includes transporting and booking suspects as well as properly preparing a San Francisco Police Department Incident Report.
12. Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing directions and responding to questions and inquiries; provide service escorts for any person requiring assistance.
13. Respond to faculty, staff and student complaints in potentially hostile situations; intervene and mediate in disturbances and disputes.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This classification may require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing, running or sitting for prolonged periods of time; bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; possible exposure to physical injury and other dangers inherent in police work. Must possess satisfactory hearing capabilities and visual acuity of at least 20/100 correctable to at least 20/30 in each eye. Officers are required to wear police uniforms, a bullet proof vests, and required police gear.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED or High School Proficiency Examination). AND
Experience:

Benefits
1. Additional Days Off with Pay. As stipulated in the appropriate bargaining agreements and board resolutions, Classified employees working full year (260 days/year) work schedules are granted, as paid days off, the days between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, as well as an additional five (5) paid days during spring break. Eligible school-term-only (STO) employees who are not scheduled to work the designated days between Christmas and New Year's Day shall be granted three (3) paid days off to be scheduled by mutual agreement between the employee and supervisor. Under the general supervision of the Director of Purchasing and Contracts Administration, the Contract Specialist oversees the District's contractual acquisition process for goods, services, professional services, and maintenance services. Working in compliance with all applicable codes, policies, and regulations - including public works requirements and the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) - this position is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, funding, conducting, negotiating, administering, and finalizing bids, requests for proposals, and service contracts of intermediate monetary value.
The Contract Specialist also performs a range of administrative and technical duties, such as maintaining and updating contract records, preparing and routing contracts for execution, drafting and submitting Board agenda items, and responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies and prospective bidders. ABOUT THE POSITION
Long Beach Community College District is currently seeking one (1) full-time tenured General Counselor commencing with the Fall 2026 semester. The primary assignment involves providing personal, career, and academic counseling to students. Job Duties
The Director of Buildings and Grounds shall be responsible for leading the operation, maintenance, improvement, safety and security of buildings, grounds and related equipment for the City College of San Francisco.
Major duties include:
1. Provides administrative direction to personnel engaged in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, the care and cleaning of buildings and grounds.

5. HVAC maintenance: Oversees and ensures the operation of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for the district, including maintenance, repair and cleaning of equipment in order to provide the necessary heat, cooling and hot water according to season, temperature and demand.
