In order to address their long term preservation needs and interest in global access for research purposes, the MNYCCPOA Board of Directors donated their expanding archive to Special Collections in Spring, 2011.
Current academic offerings include master's degrees in criminal justice, school counseling, mental health counseling, early childhood education, childhood education, special education and literacy, library and information science, and, in 2012, the LIU Post RN-to-BS Nursing degree.
In 2012, the university renamed all campuses.
On March 7, 2013, LIU named Kimberly R. Cline as its tenth president, becoming the first woman to lead the private, six-campus institution.
The faculty includes numerous Fulbright Scholars, and in 2014, LIU was one of just nine master’s institutions nationwide to have four Fulbright professors teaching abroad.
Summer instruction was conducted on-line and LIU plans offered in-person instruction beginning September 8, 2020, with on-line options for people unable to attend lectures.
Following the Thanksgiving recess, all instruction became online, with LIU planning for the start of the Spring 2021 semester to begin on February 1 with in-person instruction.
