Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is primarily responsible for performing general/preventive maintenance and repairs on all physical structures and certain facility equipment, as well as grounds maintenance in compliance with established safety rules, policies and procedures. Essential Functions 1. Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and operation manuals; performs maintenance repairs such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc. 2. Performs scheduled maintenance checks throughout the facility which may include assisting inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection or repair of equipment, building/mechanical systems and structure; responds to all emergencies such as: fire, smoke, panic, alarms. 3. Completes work orders and special projects in a timely manner; keeps maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly; maintains tools and equipment in good working order. 4. Is on call for all disaster emergencies such as: snow, ice storms, fire, tornados and floods; is placed on a weekly on call schedule. 5.
