The Parking and Transportation Services Group (UI-PATS) within the Utilities & Infrastructure (UI) Division is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and detail-oriented professional with strong communication and project management skills, and experience in office or operations support.
UI-PATS supports Laboratory employees by providing diverse commute and parking options, as well as solutions for moving efficiently around campus during the workday. The UI Division is responsible for maintaining and operating all Laboratory utility systems-including electric, gas, sewer, steam, and water-as well as managing roads, grounds, and open spaces. The Division also oversees the Laboratory's Traffic & Open Space and Parking & Transportation Services programs.
The selected candidate will report to the Transportation Director within UI-PATS and will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
+ Manage the distribution and tracking of incentives to Laboratory employees to encourage alternative transportation use.
+ Assist employees in planning transit trips and identifying carpool/vanpool matches.
+ Assist with transit route planning and operations, including passenger notifications for delayed buses.
+ Plan for expansion of the e-bike and bike parking programs; serve as UI-PATS representative on the Bicycle Safety Committee.
+ Prepare and deliver regular presentations to employees and the public about alternative transportation resources.
+ Update existing and develop new standard operating procedures for UI-PATS programs.
+ Log, track, and resolve safety tickets involving UI-PATS programs.
+ Coordinate with vendors to execute agreements, process invoices, and ensure contract obligations are met.
+ Organize and summarize program trends and issues; develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases; prepare reports using tables, charts, and graphs.
**Operations Support Specialist 3 ($85,900 - $139,900)**
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the higher-level candidate will identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies and corrective actions, and make independent decisions to successfully execute projects. This level also includes mentoring lower-level staff, managing program procedures, and assisting with budget management.

**Work Control is a multidisciplinary group, providing deployed support to all Facility Operations Directorates (FODs) for maintenance planning, scheduling, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) support. The MSS-Work Control group uses Integrated Work Management to plan, schedule, and perform work in a safe and secure manner.**
**The Maintenance Support Specialist (MSS) reports to the MSS-WC Work Control Team Leader (WC TL) to develop, monitor, and validate the accuracy and auditing of performance data, reports, and other statistical information. Support the development and implementation of Standardized Preventative Maintenance plans and routines in line with company policy, procedures, engineering guidelines and maintenance strategy. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
As a technical advisor and/or group leader, a Field Operations Specialist II provides field operations control, coordination, and direction to current and future customer base; performs complex assignments in austere remote areas with widely varying duties; and contributes to meeting program objectives in a variety of unique and conventional methods.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Independently perform a range of field operational tasks involving designing, locating, and developing remote areas for testing and training applications
Contribute to development of the design specifications, analyses, or design reviews for complex projects
Coordinate and work closely with logistics, financial, and project management to meet customer requirements
Verify and comply with test plan and customer test/training objectives within the parameters of safety and security
Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform operational studies
Support development of customer testing/training proposals and provide comments on technical/operational level of effort of proposed scope of work
Conduct testing/training objectives with project director
Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels to comply with requirements and specifications, from inception to final test activities
Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze problems, methodically determine cause/effect, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations and solutions in real-time
Maintain program schedules, status reports, budgets, plans, and other administrative tasks

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree or completion of equivalent academic, military, or vocational technical training and a minimum of six years of directly related experience in a similar operational environment are required for this position.
In addition, a Field Operations Specialist II must possess the following qualifications:
Familiarity with the government organization, structure, and supply (mandatory)
Intimate familiarity with the area in which operations are conducted
Extensive knowledge of special equipment locations and capabilities, areas of population, Military Operating Areas (MOAs), Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and Range operations
Knowledgeable of the Sandia Corporation, rules for the use of restricted air and ground space, the Range utilization periods of foreign national military agencies, and Red/Green Flag operations
Knowledge of local area procedures including incident/accident procedures, unauthorized personnel entry contingency plans, and other local operating caveats required to conduct an effective and viable test/training program
Extensive knowledge of what constitutes a hazardous mission and the coordination steps to ensure safety
Ability to conduct a multitude of functions under stressful conditions in a constantly changing environment
Good verbal and written communications skills.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 annually.

Position Summary
This position will provide direct support to the customer as one member of a team of operators supporting several Mobile Flight Mission Simulator (MFMS) systems.
What You'll Do
Duties will include providing day to day support to the systems including March order and emplacement, powering-up and system checks, calibration test checks, maintenance and operation of the MFMS scenarios.
Maintaining test documentation including preparation of a daily system data log, provide data entries/notes and perform data reduction/data handling functions as needed.
Assisting the prime Contractor support personnel with operational support for all test activities, including, troubleshooting and interoperation.
Assist in the test planning and analysis for the system level tests as required.
Apply engineering principles to analyzing/solving technical issues that arise during testing.
Confirm product performance by conducting tests and analyzing recorded data. Maintain project data base by utilizing computer programs; entering and backing up various forms of data.
The operator may at times provide test support, data analysis and monitoring to system level environmental tests, road tests, and live-aircraft search tracks and firings as needed.
May also provide assistance to the Test Officer, Project Engineer, and Test Conductor to ensure that the tests comply with approved test plans and procedures and evaluation criteria.
Familiarity with UNIX, LINUX and MS operating systems is beneficial.
Background with the PATRIOT Air Defense Weapon System, Launcher Simulators, other tactical hardware and software systems and or related communication systems is desired.
This position will require a background in computer networking techniques in establishing communications link between MFMS systems when multi-node operations are required.
Familiarity with tactical encryption systems and GPS systems is beneficial.
This position will require working in field and unimproved sites, live radar and electromagnetic environments, generator operation and tactical settings and field conditions.
It will require physical abilities to help emplace the systems, generator cables, and stairs.
Requirements and Qualifications
The position requires a 4 year degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical fields or an extensive and proven background in operation of complex radar and communication simulation systems.
U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD secret clearance is required
Valid U.S. driver s license required
Strong organizational skills, excellent writing and communications skills.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with software developers and software test engineers.
The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with an intermixed team of government and contractor personnel.
Desired Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft, UNIX, and LINUX operating systems is beneficial as well as Microsoft office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a plus.
