    **What You Will Do** We are looking for a motivated and customer service focused individual to provide operational, business, and administrative support to the Science and Technology Operations Facilities Operations Directorate (STO-FOD). Incumbent must be an excellent problem-solver and be able to anticipate challenges and obstacles and tactfully resolve them. The successful applicant will provide direct support to the division leader, deputies, and group level management to ensure operational processes and administrative functions with STO-FOD occur at a high level of efficiency. While executing your responsibilities, such as maintaining documentation, record keeping, budget tracking, and administrative assistance, you will consistently demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, versatility, tact, and confidentiality. You will work closely with the management team in creating an environment marked by close cooperation, adaptability, and a willingness to provide support where needed, while serving as a point of contact, resource, and a role model for operational and administrative staff throughout STO-FOD. Work is conducted in a team environment that requires adaptability, taking initiative in completing tasks, and a willingness to provide support where needed to include office management, scheduling, issues and abnormal event management, document control, and staff training. The successful candidate will be a motivated performer who is capable of quickly changing focus, acting independently, and is comfortable with a broadly defined scope of work. **What You Need** **Minimum Job Requirements:** **Familiarity with Facility Operations** Demonstrated knowledge of facility operations including concepts of maintenance, engineering, training and qualifications, compliance, feedback and improvement. Demonstrated knowledge of organizational and institutional governing policies and demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and enforcing procedures. Knowledge of documentation quality assurance, including document controls, and records management. Familiarity with issues management procedures, assigning corrective actions, and performance measurement processes. **Communication** Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills while interacting effectively with people throughout the organization hierarchy and in partnership with internal support organizations. Grammatical proficiency, formatting, and editing capabilities expected at this level. **Leadership** Demonstrated mentoring and teaming skills. Utilization of tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with sensitive and in-confidence information. Demonstrated ability to calmly manage interruptions and changing priorities; to complete assignments with or without established procedures; and be available and dependable. **Administrative Support** Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and take initiative and ownership of multiple and conflicting management schedules in a manner that fosters institutional values and customer satisfaction. Demonstrated experience in specialized functions; such as webpage management, HR processes (hiring, promotion, non-lab actions, etc.), **Organization and Time Management** Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, with frequent interruptions, and changing priorities in a dynamic and fluid working environment. Experience working with sensitive, personnel related information. Demonstrated record of dependability, availability, attendance, and punctuality. **Business Systems** Extensive-level knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly with Outlook, Excel, and Word) and with Oracle business systems, Concur, WebEx, SharePoint, Adobe applications, Ariba, etc. Ability to independently interpret data and information. Experience working with Visitor and Guest agreements and subcontracts. **Education/Experience:** Position requires a Associate's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution and 4 years of directly related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. **Location:** This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM. **Position commitment:** Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
