    Remote

While accepting payments on the internet has gotten easier over the past several years due in large part to the advent of modern payments APIs, the internet infrastructure for routing these same payments (to suppliers, sellers, partners, service providers, recipients) is stuck in the stone age. About the team The Strategy & Operations (S&O) team for Connect is responsible for enabling the continued rapid growth and operational excellence of one of Stripe's most strategic and complex product lines. This role sits at the intersection of product, strategy, finance, data, GTM, and day-to-day execution, ensuring the Connect organization is well-informed and running efficiently. As part of this team, you will dive into a wide array of problems that drive impact for the business across product, go-to-market, and operations teams, providing the analytical insight and operational pragmatism necessary to scale Connect. You will be expected to execute with a high degree of autonomy on critical projects, provide data-driven recommendations to cross-functional partners, and ultimately drive to the right set of decisions for our business. The Strategy & Operations team is a critical partner to product leadership at Stripe, focused on three core pillars: Setting and Driving the Business Agenda: We help define the right organizational structure and operating model, lead critical forums, and develop materials to represent the business to senior leadership. Strategy Development: We deliver objective and opinionated strategies, leveraging market, competitive, and user insights to inform long-term product and partnership strategy, as well as Go-To-Market and commercialization strategy. Program/Process Incubation: We add structure and clarity to ambiguous problems, leading and influencing large cross-functional teams to stand up and define new programs and processes that simplify how we run the business. What you'll do Partner with Connect leadership to define the long-term strategic vision and build the annual operating plans, ensuring alignment with Stripe's overall company strategy. Maintain a pulse on the financial health of the Connect business, including relevant trends, and proactively surface areas of concern or opportunity. Build and own models for in-depth analyses to help inform our overall strategy and make the right growth decisions for Connect. Obsess over our top Connect product and business metrics, helping to surface, track, and drive initiatives that will move the needle for Connect revenue and usage. Support cross-functional execution across priority projects, ensuring alignment between teams (e.g., product, engineering, marketing, sales, support). Design and implement operational systems and processes (e.g., reporting dashboards, planning forums, decision-making workflows) that help the Connect group scale efficiently. Support go-to-market efforts for new Connect product features by navigating internal stakeholders, processes, and tracking post-launch performance. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements 6+ years of experience in a strategy, business operations, or highly analytical role at a technology company, or similar experience in management consulting. Ability to add structure and clarity to ambiguous, open-ended problems, and distill complex findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations. Strong user-first mindset, leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to articulate customer pain points and translate them into actionable operational and strategic priorities. Proven analytical rigor and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate and extract meaningful insights from large, complex data sets. Strong product intuition, with the ability to quickly understand technical constraints and trade-offs when evaluating new opportunities for Connect. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, demonstrated by a track record of driving alignment and complex decisions with senior cross-functional leaders. Demonstrated ability to thrive in influence-without-authority environments and contexts with a high degree of ambiguity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with product, engineering, and GTM teams. Preferred qualifications Experience in payments, fintech, B2B/B2B2B products, or marketplace/platform business models. A track record of bringing new products to market and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion with a high bar for quality. Familiarity with financial reporting, P&L management, or business forecasting. High level of comfort using SQL for complex data extraction and analysis.
