ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Handle incoming products in the warehouse in a safe and timely manner, fills orders, stocks racks, keeps the facility clean and rotates stock.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Warehouse and Operations: Operates pallet jacks (electric and manual) and forklift in a safe manner. Comply with all safety requirements such as inspection reports and prompt notification of equipment issues. Unload trucks using pallet jacks. Tag incoming products according to category. Verify accurate or tagged items notify supervisors of quality or accuracy concerns, Inspect and sort product's Advise Supervisors of food safety or chemical concerns., Palletize products according to established safety protocols ; notify supervisors of quality or accuracy concerns. Works in freezer and refrigerated rooms as needed (Cooler/Freezer).
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older.
Must be literate in English in order to read and understand work documents.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (electric and manual) in a safe manner.
Ability to understand bills of lading, receiving documents, inventory documents, product order forms, and any other documents relevant to the department.
Good communication skills.
Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs throughout the shift.
Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight deadline requirements.
Forklift experience and/or forklift certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of HR Generalist will be responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization while supporting their Human Resources needs. Performs Human Resources duties in some or all of the following functional areas: employee and labor relations within a unionized environment, employee safety, and the administration and operations within Human Resources. Responsible for handling impartial investigations into employee misconduct. Manages a variety of HR projects and initiatives; considers creative solutions, working closely with other teams to drive innovation in problem-solving; thorough knowledge in the areas of Employee/Labor Relations, Legal Compliance for FMLA/CRFA and other leave laws, and Employee Safety. Reports to and receives supervision from the HR Solutions Director and works closely with the HR team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Human Resources: Oversee, administer, and assist in the implementation of various HR functions such as employee and labor relations, training, and general HR duties within cross-functional teams at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
Employee Relations: Foster positive relationships between employees and management, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring fair treatment and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Must possess excellent investigation capabilities to engage in impartial disciplinary investigation meetings. Ensures compliance to Wage & Hour, Employee Handbook, and Collective Bargaining Agreement for warehouse & drivers.
Project Management: Responsible for overseeing and managing HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve organizational goals.
Compliance Enforcement: Tasked with ensuring that the organization complies with relevant employment laws, collective bargaining agreement, local and state regulations, and internal policies through audits, training, and policy development.
Systems Administration: Managing and optimizing HR systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting system users to meet organizational needs efficiently.
Training and Development: Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance in areas such as legal compliance, safety, and HR policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of HR Administrative or Supervisory experience within a non-profit or distribution environment preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
PHR designation is helpful but not required.
Knowledge of CA employment and wage & hour laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator provides timely support services to the Volunteer Department and Food Bank Staff. Assist with the recruitment, evaluation, and orientation of existing and new volunteers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Volunteer Relations: Recruit, schedule, and coordinate individual and group volunteers to support the Food Bank's programs and operations. Lead, train, orient, and supervise volunteers at on-site events across both volunteer facilities and off-site events such as drive-through, pop-up, and walk-up food distributions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of Helpdesk Support Technician will troubleshoot and solve application issues and respond to end-user calls and e-mails. This position will provide excellent customer service and communication skills to assist users and answer questions at various end-user skill levels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
The Agency Relations Supervisor holds a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operations of the Agency Relations department, primarily by directly supervising coordinators and specialists. Responsibilities encompass ensuring seamless workflow, enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining high-quality work output from team members. Act as a liaison both internally and externally, representing the department, making recommendations for policy enhancements, and aiding in the implementation of new procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Agency Relation Liaison and Support: Acts as a liaison with applying agencies concerning details of participation in Food Bank services. Provides customer service to agencies and assists with conflict resolution regarding food pick-ups, ordering, forms, and other paperwork. Provides in-house and on-site technical assistance to prospective and participating agencies, including: Storage and distribution of food picked up from the Food Bank. Proper maintenance of food distribution and food recipient records. Proper adherence to food recipient qualifying requirements as mandated by federal, state, and Food Bank guidelines. Represents the department, internally and externally, as needed.
Internal Process Maintenance: Updates and maintains pantry list on the LARFB website, referring to agency agreements and DynamicsNAV for accuracy. Updates and maintains the needed information for Agency Express in DynamicsNAV. Runs weekly reports and maintains the current agency/subsite list. Ensures the Agency Relations department and affiliated agencies are compliant with Food Bank, Feeding America, and TEFAP/USDA policies and procedures. Provides information for internal and external data requests. Prepares monthly activity and monitoring reports, including tracking of agency participation and other reports as required. Updates the Agency Relations Manual. Oversees the technical addition of and termination of agencies in the Navision database and other databases.
Team Supervision & Development: Oversees the performance of Agency Relations Coordinators and Specialists, offering essential training, constructive feedback, and guidance as needed. Acts as the point of contact for the team regarding Monitor Report Assignments and Scheduling. Supervises and oversees the Agency Relations Department, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to scheduling and coordination of staff assignments. Ensures consistent work product and results are obtained successfully from each team member; works with the manager to train and develop team members; may make recommendations for disciplinary action as needed. Travels to various sites throughout Los Angeles County to monitor prospective and participating agencies according to established guidelines. As directed by supervisors, assists/attends departmental activities such as the New Agency Orientations, the Annual All-Agencies Conference, and other meetings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting the Food Bank's internal safety structure in collaboration with Operations, Compliance, and Human Resources as well as developing and maintaining environmental health & safety training and improvement plans; coordinating and developing identified training and exercise needs to support planning initiatives and operational activities; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; representing LARFB on a variety of workgroups; and monitoring and documenting compliance with local, state, and federal statutes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Safety & Emergency Program Development & Oversight: Collaborate with leadership to strategize and develop organization-wide safety and environmental health planning programs. Coordinate with teams to maintain and implement organization-wide safety and emergency response policies, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, Emergency Action Plan, and Disaster Response Plan. Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Work Instructions in accordance with best practices. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading/lagging indicators related to quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental performance. Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events.
Training, Exercises & Safety Readiness: Ensure that safety and environmental health training and documentation meet organizational and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with management and department heads to establish and maintain comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including topics like Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Protection, and Emergency Evacuation. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, and QSHE training programs to drive workforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Perform administrative-related functions related to training, drills, and preparedness initiatives, including tracking reports and inventorying emergency supplies.
Incident Response, Monitoring & Community Resilience: Perform comprehensive safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to proactively identify hazards and implement effective corrective actions in compliance with Cal/OSHA standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Inventory and Order Management: Remove any damaged or expired items to maintain the highest level of quality. Serves as customer service liaison with all registered agencies for placement of orders. Enters orders received (data entry) and/or prepares invoices based on agency orders using Navision. Handles all duties relative to customer service by handling phone calls, providing agency or general Food Bank information with regard to products available, delivery or pick-up date scheduling, and providing service to agency representatives at IOC desk/window. Maintains current stock information of all commodities within WMS (Navision). Handles special program (CSFP, CACFP, MFM, etc.) invoicing and related reporting. Establishes and maintains master files for products. Assists IOC managers, supervisors, and leads with training, cross-training efforts, and physical inventory preparation and counts. Verify product is wholesome /nutritional for consumption. Verify code dates are within Food Bank guidelines. Ensure the product is received and put away within an expected amount of time. Verify product is being entered into the Warehouse Management System correctly. Verify receiving documents are correct and accounted for. Ensure that Receiving Processes and Procedures are being followed.
Produce Quality Control: Inspect all produce deliveries and donations. Ensure freshness and quality of all produce, minimizing damage and spoilage. Serve as resident subject matter expert on produce. QUALIFICATIONS

The position of the Neighbor Intake Specialist will be responsible for all phases of implementation of Neighbor Intake with the agency partner network and will help with data processing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support and performing a variety of Human Resources functions. These functions include onboarding, compliance, benefits, employee/labor relations and maintaining human resources records, policies, forms, and all other responsibilities as directed. Ensures all records, reports, forms processing, and handling of confidential and time-sensitive documents is kept in line with policy and established practice. Reports to and receives supervision from the HR Solutions Director and works closely with the HR team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Employee Support, Communication & Relationship Management: Provide customer-centric, responsive and accurate information to internal clients through phone, in-person and email interactions. Emphasize the importance of building healthy teams and business relationships through empathy, respect, fairness and adherence to applicable state and federal laws. Answer employee questions about policies and procedures, and refer to other HR team members as needed. Communicate all concerns regarding HR, Payroll and Staffing to the appropriate Supervisor on a timely basis. Assist with employee/labor relations and compliance matters as needed. Support onboarding and new hire process. Work with our MarComm team to design flyers, posters and e-messages for engagement activities, health & wellness challenges, and surveys. Assist with HR and company-wide events and programs. Assist with various committees and councils (Events Committee, Health and Wellness Committee, IDEA Council). Schedules and coordinates company-wide trainings. Direct interaction, employee experience, internal customer service, engagement, and relationship-building. May serve as back-up to Front Desk Attendant, assisting with visitors and conference room reservations/setup as needed.
HR Operations, Data Management & Administrative Compliance: Work with the HR team to process all department invoices and vendor payments and expense them in Abacus. Maintain Leave of Absence administrative process and records to ensure the system accurately reflects time off. Assist with annual open enrollment and ongoing benefit enrollment system. Assist with HR Dashboard preparation, including preparing reports and auditing information. Maintains and audits HR processes, records, and personnel files for current and terminated employees according to protocol. May assist with time and attendance as needed. Assists with HR Projects and Presentations. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration or related field of study; and 2 - 3 years' experience in Human Resources within a non-profit or unionized environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of CA employment and wage & hour laws.
Must be resourceful and possess strong analytical skills with the ability to think creatively to solve problems
Ability to work cohesively as a team as well as work independently, demonstrating a service-first ethic
Well organized and detail oriented, highly adaptable and be able to maintain challenging projects
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong EQ and relationship-building skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
The Agency Relations Supervisor holds a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operations of the Agency Relations department, primarily by directly supervising coordinators and specialists. Responsibilities encompass ensuring seamless workflow, enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining high-quality work output from team members. Act as a liaison both internally and externally, representing the department, making recommendations for policy enhancements, and aiding in the implementation of new procedures.
Additionally, this role involves maintaining accurate databases, ensuring compliance with various regulatory policies such as those from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Feeding America, and TEFAP/USDA, providing technical assistance to agencies, managing customer service, preparing reports, attending meetings and events, and conducting on-site agency monitoring throughout the greater Los Angeles County.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Agency Relation Liaison and Support: Acts as a liaison with applying agencies concerning details of participation in Food Bank services. Provides customer service to agencies and assists with conflict resolution regarding food pick-ups, ordering, forms, and other paperwork. Provides in-house and on-site technical assistance to prospective and participating agencies, including: Storage and distribution of food picked up from the Food Bank. Proper maintenance of food distribution and food recipient records. Proper adherence to food recipient qualifying requirements as mandated by federal, state, and Food Bank guidelines. Represents the department, internally and externally, as needed.
Internal Process Maintenance: Updates and maintains pantry list on the LARFB website, referring to agency agreements and DynamicsNAV for accuracy. Updates and maintains the needed information for Agency Express in DynamicsNAV. Runs weekly reports and maintains the current agency/subsite list. Ensures the Agency Relations department and affiliated agencies are compliant with Food Bank, Feeding America, and TEFAP/USDA policies and procedures. Provides information for internal and external data requests. Prepares monthly activity and monitoring reports, including tracking of agency participation and other reports as required. Updates the Agency Relations Manual. Oversees the technical addition of and termination of agencies in the Navision database and other databases.
Team Supervision & Development: Oversees the performance of Agency Relations Coordinators and Specialists, offering essential training, constructive feedback, and guidance as needed. Acts as the point of contact for the team regarding Monitor Report Assignments and Scheduling. Supervises and oversees the Agency Relations Department, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to scheduling and coordination of staff assignments. Ensures consistent work product and results are obtained successfully from each team member; works with the manager to train and develop team members; may make recommendations for disciplinary action as needed. Travels to various sites throughout Los Angeles County to monitor prospective and participating agencies according to established guidelines. As directed by supervisors, assists/attends departmental activities such as the New Agency Orientations, the Annual All-Agencies Conference, and other meetings. QUALIFICATIONS
Must work well with little supervision and lead a team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of Helpdesk Support Technician will troubleshoot and solve application issues and respond to end-user calls and e-mails. This position will provide excellent customer service and communication skills to assist users and answer questions at various end-user skill levels.

The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting the Food Bank's internal safety structure in collaboration with Operations, Compliance, and Human Resources as well as developing and maintaining environmental health & safety training and improvement plans; coordinating and developing identified training and exercise needs to support planning initiatives and operational activities; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; representing LARFB on a variety of workgroups; and monitoring and documenting compliance with local, state, and federal statutes.

Safety & Emergency Program Development & Oversight: Collaborate with leadership to strategize and develop organization-wide safety and environmental health planning programs. Coordinate with teams to maintain and implement organization-wide safety and emergency response policies, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, Emergency Action Plan, and Disaster Response Plan. Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Work Instructions in accordance with best practices. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading/lagging indicators related to quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental performance. Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events.
Training, Exercises & Safety Readiness: Ensure that safety and environmental health training and documentation meet organizational and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with management and department heads to establish and maintain comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including topics like Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Protection, and Emergency Evacuation. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, and QSHE training programs to drive workforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Perform administrative-related functions related to training, drills, and preparedness initiatives, including tracking reports and inventorying emergency supplies.
Incident Response, Monitoring & Community Resilience: Perform comprehensive safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to proactively identify hazards and implement effective corrective actions in compliance with Cal/OSHA standards. Lead incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies to prevent recurrence and improve operational safety. Drive continuous safety improvements by auditing work areas, reviewing incident reports, and recommending enhancements to minimize risk. Conduct unannounced worksite safety inspections across all distribution sites and facilities. Review, develop, and update safety and preparedness outreach material as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree with major coursework in occupational safety, industrial safety technologies, emergency management, public or business administration, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of the External Partnerships Coordinator supports the Manager of External Partnerships in developing and distributing materials to support programs for prospective and participating agencies. Works closely with the team for the recruitment, evaluation, enrollment, orientation, and monitoring of existing and new agencies. Provide guidelines to agencies regarding the storage and distribution of food, record-keeping practices, and maintenance of standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Agency Relations Support: Assists the Manager of External Partnerships in ensuring high-level service support for agencies, projects, and initiatives. Develop and sustain relationships with agencies through exceptional customer service and help facilitate the transition to the Agency Relations Specialist when appropriate. Assist team in working with community organizations to promote Food Bank programs and logistics coordination, as well as assist with agency support opportunities, including health education, grants support, etc. Assists prospective and participating agencies in storage and distribution requirements, food distribution, and food recipient records and requirements as mandated by federal, state, and Food Bank guidelines. Provides orientations as needed to new agencies joining the Food Bank, including online assessments and communication. Assist with grants and track grant allocations for accuracy and rehoming grant equipment Works effectively with other staff members at all levels of responsibility within the Food Bank.
Event & Program Coordination: Assist the Manager of External Partnerships with planning, scheduling, and/or attending community and other external outreach events, workshops, and meetings, using a combination of virtual and online forums as needed. As directed by the Manager of External Partnerships, assists/attends departmental activities such as the New Agency Orientations, the Annual All Agencies Conference, and other meetings. Supports any needs related to the annual All Agencies Conference and Agency Newsletter.
Administrative & Data Management: Creates and distributes resource information and materials on government programs and subsidies. Assist the Client Data Analyst with onboarding and training the implementation agencies on the Neighbor Intake Oasis Platform. Assists with coordinating allocations and reports for grant-related programs or projects. Prepares monthly activity and monitoring reports, including tracking of agency participation and other reports as required. Assists with surveys, database maintenance, data entry, and other administrative functions as required. Travel to various sites throughout Los Angeles County to attend SPA meetings and monitor prospective and participating agencies according to established guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in nonprofit management or a related field is preferred but not required. Three (3) plus years of experience in an Administrative Support role is required.
Ability to manage and track grants, including allocation and reporting.
Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating events, workshops, and community outreach activities.
Superior interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
Strong presentation skills, including networking and public speaking; bilingual English/Spanish is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
The Agency Relations Supervisor holds a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operations of the Agency Relations department, primarily by directly supervising coordinators and specialists. Inventory and Order Management: Remove any damaged or expired items to maintain the highest level of quality. Serves as customer service liaison with all registered agencies for placement of orders. Enters orders received (data entry) and/or prepares invoices based on agency orders using Navision. Previous experience as a produce clerk and/or quality control clerk within a warehouse or distribution setting, or equivalent training.
A minimum of 2 years experience in food retail and perishables (Meat Seafood, Dairy, and Produce).
Maintain and update California Food Handlers Permit as needed.
Be knowledgeable in and able to differentiate between various types of produce and related merchandise including seasonality, and differences between varieties of similar classes of products (i.e. different types of apples, potatoes, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position of Helpdesk Support Technician will troubleshoot and solve application issues and respond to end-user calls and e-mails. This position will provide excellent customer service and communication skills to assist users and answer questions at various end-user skill levels.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
End-User Assistance & Troubleshooting: Log all incidents and maintain the help desk ticketing system. Handle inbound calls and ensure customer satisfaction through the entire transaction. Respond to end-user calls and e-mails. Assist with the setup of Desktop/Laptop accounts. Install and/or maintain printers, copiers, and other office equipment. Account for internal office equipment assigned to users. Update cell phone accounts.
On-call/after-hours support may be required when necessary to perform high-risk or planned downtime of company systems for upgrades and maintenance. Scheduling is based on staffing. May be scheduled to work Saturdays, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.
Systems Maintenance & Monitoring: Perform and monitor system backup and maintenance procedures under the supervision of the Systems Manager. Monitor the completion of automated system processes. Perform recovery procedures as directed. Assist in IT special projects as time permits. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Microsoft Navision Dynamics and Raiser's Edge (preferred but not required).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Retail Store Services Coordinator position provides customer service support to retail store donors and Extra Helpings agencies. This position will assist with the recruitment, evaluation, enrollment, orientation, and monitoring of existing and new retail donors and Extra Helpings agencies. This position will also provide guidelines to agencies regarding the storage and distribution of food, record-keeping practices, and maintenance of standards. This position will require visiting retail stores on a rotating basis, attending meetings, and conducting presentations. This position will also monitor agencies, complete monthly and quarterly reports for donors, Feeding America, and internal directors. This position will correspond with internal and external parties regularly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Customer Service: Provides in-house and on-site technical assistance to prospective and participating agencies to include, but not limited to, the following: transportation, storage, and distribution of food picked up from retail store donors, proper maintenance of food distribution and food recipient records, and use of MealConnect platform. Matches Extra Helpings agencies with retail store donors including Food Drive donors. Answers telephone calls from retail stores and coordinates pick-ups. Assists/attends departmental activities such as the All Agencies Conference and other meetings as directed by the supervisor. Travels to (using personal vehicle) various retail store donors throughout Los Angeles County to solicit Extra Helpings donations. Works effectively with other staff members at all levels of responsibility within the Food Bank.
Site Monitoring and Reports: Travels to (using personal vehicle) various agency sites throughout Los Angeles County to monitor prospective and participating agencies according to established guidelines. Maintains MealConnect database, Ceres database, data entry, and other administrative functions as required. Prepares reports, including tracking of agency and donor participation. Prepares monthly Extra Helpings donor reports and other reports as needed.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in customer service, or warehouse experience working with grocery retail stores.
An associate's degree and/or vocational training is desirable
