What We Are Looking For
The Groundman - Substation is an entry-level support role within our substation construction and maintenance teams. This position provides essential ground-level assistance in high-voltage transmission substations (115-230 kV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and power generation facilities. What to Expect
You will work primarily outdoors at electrical substations, BESS facilities, and power generation plants across Puerto Rico, supporting teams in construction, maintenance, and modernization projects. * Candidates are required to complete an intensive 13-week training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by specialized 18-week training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD. Failure to pass the training program may result in separation from the Secret Service.
* Sign a mobility agreement stating your willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas.
* Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
* Must have uncorrected vision of at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20 in each eye. LASIK, ALK, RK, and PRK surgeries are acceptable if required post-surgery visual tests are passed: Lasik (3 months), PRK (6 months), ALK/RK (1 year) waiting periods apply.
* Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500,1000 and 2000Hz ranges.
Qualifications

General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.

* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.
Applicants will be required to travel to all phases of the hiring process at their own expense. If a final job offer is extended, relocation expenses will not be authorized for first duty location.

Responsibilities:
* Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations as well as Triumvirate's Health and Safety practices
* Preparation of chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the material.
* Safe handling of hazardous waste containers on client sites, as well as loading/unloading of waste from vehicles
* Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
* Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
* Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Champion our commitment to the WOW! by providing outstanding support and innovative solutions to our clients
* Develop a high-level of state and federal regulatory expertise ensuring our client's compliance needs are met (e.g RCRA, DOT, and OSHA)
* Conduct spill response measures, including the assessment of the spills and cleanup efforts
* Rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry, or relevant military experience
* Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
* Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional exchanges of information
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes
* Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues
* Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
* Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
* Ability to complete a 2 to 3 year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management
* The Environmental Specialist frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive
* Must be able to report to San Juan office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
* Valid US driver's license
* Must have a reliable form of transportation
* Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
* Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Job Description
Responsible for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic control duties in a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) Air Traffic Control Tower.
Works under the general supervision of the Tower Manager who relies on the incumbent to perform established duties independently. On new or revised procedures, the manager gives detailed instructions and observes, and checks work during or immediately after completion according to complexity of the task or until satisfied the incumbent can perform it independently.
Accountability
1. Makes decisions involving:
The order of departures that will assure all aircraft equitable treatment and will assure that departing IFR flights operate at the fix, altitude, and the time designated by the center or approach control clearances.
The times and direction of takeoff and any turns necessary for departure.
Whether inbound aircraft are to land immediately or circle and whether distances are lengthened to control the arrival of an aircraft at a given point.
The active runway and possible simultaneous use of other runways.
The time and methods by which arrivals and departures can be interspersed with the least delay to traffic.
When landing and departing aircraft are cleared to use the runways to assure standard separation between aircraft on the runways.
The sequence of arriving traffic, before it enters the traffic pattern, to assure a safe, orderly flow of aircraft on final approach to the landing runway.
That IFR separation standards are applied, as delegated by approach control of the center, in limited areas around the airport to provide initial separation between
IFR arrivals and IFR departures and between successive IFR departures.
The sequence of VFR and IFR traffic, using radar equipment as an aid and, when delegated, separating IFR traffic.
When VFR flights through the airport traffic area can be authorized.
2. Determines the usability of communications frequencies available to him/her as other navigational aids used to control air traffic. Monitors navigational aids and monitors control panels, including BRITE display to determine acceptability of its alignment and display presentation. Instructs pilots to change radio frequencies/radar beacon codes.
3. When appropriate, coordinates with the other controllers on movements of both arrival and departure aircraft.
4. When traffic conditions warrant, controllers in non-approach terminals are responsible for:
Preplanning traffic sequencing and separation over an area which may reach out to a radius of 5 miles or more.
Preplanning and setting up check points required to ensure the maintenance of necessary traffic separation.
Maintaining a continuous mental picture and evaluation of a constantly changing traffic complex frequency dispersed over an equivalent geographic area.
Maintaining continuous radio watch with aircraft which have previously contacted the facility.
Accepting responsibility to handle IFR traffic at his/her airport.
5. Studies weather bureau reports and forecasts, obtains LAWRS/SAWRS weather certification, observes weather from the tower and records pilot reports to determine the effect of present and anticipated weather on traffic; furnishes aircraft with information such as field conditions, altimeter settings, weather conditions, operating status of navigational aids, and observed malfunctioning of aircraft, forwards to the weather bureau and the appropriate center, pilot weather reports and reports based upon personal observation of weather conditions; operates light guns, runway lights, field lighting, jet barriers etc.
6. Orients pilots of aircraft lost or in difficulty; determines whether a given situation may operations offices, airport management offices, and fire and ambulance services.
7. Performs lower grade level duties as necessary to meet operational requirements and for proficiency maintenance.
8. Provides OJT training to others.
Requirements
Individual must have a CTO Certificate and a current Class II Medical Certificate. Position is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident). Individual must have held a Control Tower Operator Certificate (CTO) with a facility rating or have held an FAA Credential with a tower rating, for a minimum of six months in an Air Traffic Control Tower.
