While it does grant associate's degrees, Louisburg has the look and feel of a traditional college and offers a personalized education that is exclusively focused on helping students transfer to a four-year school. Located in Louisburg, North Carolina, Louisburg College has transfer agreements with various universities including University of North Carolina, North Carolina State as well as private schools both within and outside of North Carolina. Since academics are designed to prepare students for four year transfer majors are offered in the Liberal and Fine Arts, Humanities, Sciences and Business. Louisburg's small classes enable students to benefit from a highly individualized learning environment. Equally individualized are the services and activities offered at Louisburg. Personal and career counselors and academic advisors are highly accessible for one-on-one counseling. As a Methodist school, Louisburg is dedicated not only to academic and social but spiritual development as well. Student activities reflect this mission providing everything from recreational activities to religious services to athletic and social events. The admission process is just as personalized as anything at Louisburg with counselors not simply looking at grades and test scores, but at the entire person. A rolling admissions policy allows students to find out if they've been admitted in a matter of days. Students who think that they might need financial assistance should begin the financial aid application process right away.
