Job Description
UL Solutions, will be installing a solar monitoring system (SMS) near Bowling Green, MO on behalf of one of our Clients. The station is (roughly 20x20 footprint) consists of a few solar panels, (2) 7-foot tripods, and scientific measurement equipment surrounded by a locked chain link fence. The station will be monitoring the solar resource as well as other meteorological and weather-related parameters.
The station requires weekly maintenance, on the same day each week during daylight hours to ensure consistent and accurate data is being collected for a minimum of 1 year and maximum 2 years. Your duties will include the following:
Uphold highest level of communication as first point of contact for equipment in field;
Ensure all equipment is level & clean on a weekly basis;
Provide troubleshooting (w/support from UL Solutions) and when requested, repair(s) for low-medium complexity issues;
Ensure there is no debris obstructing the system (depending on site/region, grass cutting, snow removal, or clearing brush); and
Confirm the system is secure and hasn't been tampered with.
Each maintenance visit should take 45-90 minutes. UL Solutions requires a weekly excel logbook uploaded via internet along with photos and other documentation to support the visit which should take 45-90 minutes. The entire process is estimated to require between 2-4 hours each week, including travel time to and from site.
Occasionally, UL Solutions may request your assistance in replacing or troubleshooting equipment. A Senior Engineer would contact you to walk you through the process. They will support you while onsite and review data after the equipment repair.
Qualifications
No solar experience is required. Training will be provided remotely via phone and video, potential onsite training when possible.
Must be able to take instruction remotely throughout length of contract term.
Must use own transportation to and from remote SMS location (4WD highly preferred.)
Willing/able to walk to and from site, typically no more than ¼ mile in one direction.
Must own gas or battery-operated weedwhacker should grass cutting be required.
Required to climb and work comfortably from a 6 or 8-foot ladder (provided).
Required maintenance of equipment utilizing levels, screwdriver, and other hand tools (provided).
Must have demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to upload attachments with their own version of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) to our SharePoint website with reliable internet.
A smart phone is required to take site photos as well as to communicate with UL Solutions' staff while on site in an event of an emergency, etc.

Attend/complete various trainings as assigned and mandatory staff meetings
Other tasks as assigned by the Recovery Technician Supervisor, Program Directors, or Clinical Director of Recovery Services

Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Experience in the human services field preferred but not required

JOB PURPOSE: Implements treatment designed by a licensed speech-language pathologist and/or treatment team. Aids in establishing pre-speech skills in treatment sessions with clients. Charts daily behavior and case histories; prepares progress notes on assigned cases. Attends in-service meetings, workshops and conferences to maintain and expand professional skills. Attends and participates in staff development programs, and other professional meetings. Participates in team meetings in the absence of a speech-language pathologist. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1 Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from program ASHA approved to grant Master's SLP degrees OR Bachelor's Degree in other area with a total of 21 hours in five speech/language areas (anatomy /physiology, phonetics, development, disorders (acquired & developmental) & clinical methods) and apply for state certification OR Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
2. Must obtain 25 hours of SLP observation; and 25 hours of SLP clinical assisting or practicum. (Hours can be provided /supervised by school-based SLPs with appropriate credential - Board license or DESE certificate.)
