Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability to support trustworthy business intelligence solutions. * Cleanse and validate data, reviewing Power BI reports and outputs to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. * Gather data from diverse sources, including relational databases, data warehouses, and third-party systems, while maintaining data systems and ensuring data integrity. * Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide timely and actionable insights to stakeholders. * Collaborate with department managers to define data requirements and tailor BI solutions to support specific business processes and objectives. * Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and improve decision-making through data-driven insights. * Create compelling data visualizations, including charts, graphs, and dynamic dashboards, using Power BI to enhance stakeholder understanding. * Utilize data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI) to extract, transform, and analyze data. * Stay updated on Power BI features and best practices to maximize tool capabilities and deliver cutting-edge BI solutions. Required Skills and Abilities * Exposure to Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable insights. * Exposure to data visualization and storytelling to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders. * Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data from relational databases. * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align BI solutions with business goals. * Strong communication skills for timely and clear interaction with internal and external stakeholders. * Project accountability with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality BI solutions. Knowledge and Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Some college course work preferred. * 0-2 years related experience in the industry. * Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and business intelligence concepts is a plus. Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus Alternatively, any equivalent combination of education at the Masters or Doctoral level and experience. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
