Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a motivated Telecom Technician with 2 years related experience to perform a wide range of repair and troubleshooting tasks to ensure client satisfaction. Our Telecom Technician will be responsible for installing, as well as helping Genesys Impact clients choosing and maintaining low-voltage systems and cables.

What You’ll Do:

Our Telecom Technician will obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of electronic systems including, but not limited to, fire alarms, temperature control, security, card access, intercom, clock, sound, and scoreboard systems. Reporting to the Project Executive, our Telecom Technician will assist in development and implementation of new procedures and providing training to new or existing staff as needed. A day in the life of the Telecom Technician consists of performing programming, data backup, and restoration functions for electronic systems, while providing labor and material estimates for electrical needs. The Telecom Technician will also conduct preventative maintenance inspections and initiate and track work orders.

What You Bring To The Table:

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications or security

· High School Diploma, Bachelor preferred

· BICSI Certification preferred

· Organized, with great attention to detail

· Well versed in Excel and all MS Office Programs

· Strong and proactive communication (written, phone, and in person)

· Ability to work well with all levels of business partners

The Lead Low Voltage Technician will work under the healthcare division and be responsible for running small projects, overseeing and training cable installers, installing and devicing Security, PA, AV systems for commercial new construction/retrofit projects.
Background Profile:
Ability to effectively lead and maintain working relationships in a team environment. Reading and understanding wiring schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of security, PA (Public Address), and AV (Audio Visual) systems. At least 1-year experience working in a lead technician position. Familiar with Bosch, Axis Communications, Crestron, Extron, ASCOM, S2 Security Systems is a plus. Knowledge of safety standards/ practices.
