Key Responsibilities
Travel to customers' homes to conduct consultations, evaluate their needs, and recommend personalized solutions.
Present product options clearly, address questions, and guide customers toward informed decisions.
Drive sales by managing appointments, following up on leads, and meeting targets.
Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and clear communication.
Collaborate with contractors and installers to ensure accurate quotes and seamless project execution.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass an MVR check per company standards.
Obtain a salesperson license within 60 days of starting the role, if required by your state or municipality. Applicable states and locations include Connecticut (CT), Washington, D.C. (DC), Milwaukee, Wisconsin (WI), Michigan (MI), Suffolk County, New York (NY), and Maryland (MD).
A minimum of 2 years of experience in face-to-face sales or commission-based sales.
Preferred Skills / Experience
Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms or systems.
Experience utilizing tablets or similar technology to manage sales processes and streamline customer interactions.

* Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, & use to solve & support guest needs.
* Sort truck freight, push freight to the salesfloor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
* Set visual presentations & visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
* Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, & merchandising to capacity to create a guest ready floorpad.
* Execute & maintain backroom organization, inclusive of locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, & guest requests.
* Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using remerchandising best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience for our guest.
* Support price change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, inclusive of signing execution.
* Maintain and use the fitting rooms as an opportunity to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
* Support fulfillment and guest's needs by ensuring merchandise from the fitting room and guest service are worked back out to the salesfloor throughout the day.
* Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
* Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, own assigned departments and support the store

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned as needed):
Greets all customers and assists in answering questions about merchandise and locating merchandising; uses The S.A.L.E.S. process to help customers find everything on their lists.
Completes all company and departmental paperwork accurately, including Price Change Bulletins, Operation Actions, Red Tags, and Bin Tags.
Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking paperwork against items received when required, and replenishes stock when necessary.
Displays and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company planogram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified
guidelines by your management team.
Maintains onhand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including; cycle count, negative onhand. Follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness.
Maintains familiarity with new products and ad merchandise.
Has sound awareness of surroundings, customers, etc. and practices loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses.
Working knowledge of the tools available to operate the store; including, but not limited to: RF Gun, Back Office Procedures and the use of Store Opportunities.
Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions. Engages the customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.
Must be able to communicate effectively, and work with colleagues and customers effectively and professionally.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with color matching and mixing paint
Assists and/or makes recommendations to customers in the service areas within the store including, but not limited to; chain, rope, key, and glass cutting, screen repair, and knife sharpening.
Operates cash register by scanning all merchandise, engaging the customer through suggestive selling, proper tendering of each transaction, and thanking the customer for shopping at GLA.
Adhere to all company policies.
Participates in periodic team meetings.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required along with the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
RELATIONSHIPS
Communicates with all members of store management, store supervisors, store associates, and the Support Center personnel as necessary. Maintains outstanding customer satisfaction.
TECHNOLOGY
Use of computer, computer keyboard, mouse, RF Gun, Google Drive, AceNet, Epicor (point of sale system) and email.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Six months related experience and/or training preferred.

Your Day at Lowe's
SalesSpecialists at Lowe's are very active, moving throughout the store or garden center, answering phones, and talking to customers. As a SalesSpecialist, you'll spend most of your time communicating with customers - discussing project needs, answering questions, and helping them accomplish their home improvement goals.
You will become the product expert, informing customers of specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close a sale. Your exceptional consulting services help ensure that customer needs are met before leaving the store.
You will be working in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and communicate the advantages of Lowe's products and services
* Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking customer orders/installations, and following up to ensure project completion.
* If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
* Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock
* Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure maintenance of pricing and documentation
* Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
* Train associates in the department by conducting on-the-job training on the Sales floor and coaching around development needs
* Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED
* 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience (Or 3 years of external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months of Lowe's retail experience if education requirement is not met)
* 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics
* Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
* Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
* Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation
* Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
* 1 year of experience in completing customer sales orders
* 1 Year Experience promoting product related services and plans such as installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plan
* 2 years of experience designing customized products for customers using 20/20 or Computer-Aided Design System
* Professional certification related to the department being considered
* Bi-lingual skills

Travel Requirements
This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
