Scheduled Shift- (Mondays-Wednesdays: 7:00pm-3:30am ; Thursdays and Fridays- 5:00pm-1:30am). No Weekends. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper will perform daily cleaning as outlined by supervisor and cleaning schedule. Daily function as follows, but not limited to, perform nightly cleaning of main vestibule entrance, waiting area and reception areas to include glass, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal and wipe down of tables and chairs. Perform nightly cleaning of exam rooms and nurse stations to include trash removal, sweep and wash floors, dust, wipe down exam table metal sides, sterilize exam table upholstery, restock consumable goods, wipe down counters and clean sinks. Qualifications At least two years of office/facility housekeeping experience required. Previous experience with stripping, waxing and buffing floors desired. Demonstrated experience of cleaning in a healthcare setting a plus. Must have the ability to operate machinery common to cleaning of medical environment with proper training. High School diploma, GED or equivalent. High values regarding customer service; positive attitude. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. We also have a Pharmacy serving health center patients and others in the community Job Description The medical interpreter serves as an interpreter for patients and staff and supports the operations of the department. The interpreter uses, consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation modes. Relays medical information between speakers of two different languages in compliance with all office and Lowell Community Health Center (Health Center) policies and procedures, particularly relating to patient confidentiality and informed consent, passing performance of competencies listed in the International Medical Interpreter Association (IMIA) Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Helps facilitate successful delivery of services to linguistically diverse patients. Explains Health Center resources, office protocols, and limitations to providers, clinicians, and patients; makes appropriate referrals; serves as a cultural and linguistic resource to both patients and providers to contribute to successful outcomes. Performs duties in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Adheres to Health Center policies on customer service. Understands the Health Center's approach of service delivery. Completes written translations as required in patient encounters such as filling out forms and medical instructions, and medication schedules; administrative translations such as letters to patients, documents, and patient materials. Supports the office operations by answering the phone, taking requests, calling patients to confirm appointments, documenting encounters on the interpreter tracking system, entering data, verifying and scheduling future appointments when necessary, general troubleshooting, filing, and photocopying. Utilizes on-line computer systems such as Outlook, the Health Center's Electronic Health Record, and other Health Center software. Works with special projects and other duties as assigned. Assists OBAT Nurse as necessary in the following areas: perform laboratory tests, such as pregnancy tests a and maintains laboratory logs per LCHC standards; take and record height and weight blood pressure, pulse, respiration and O2 saturation. d. Assist with Vivitrol coordination and assure that Vivitrol medication is coordinated through the appropriate pharmacy on-site prior to client appointments. e. Documenting all information in accordance with established requirements. f. Maintains infection control practice at all times, especially with patients requiring isolation/reverse precautions. Maintains universal precautions in handling blood/body fluids.
