Summary
Plans, develops, and provides Child Life programming to meet the psychological, emotional, and developmental needs of the pediatric patients and their families.
Job Duties
Coordinates, schedules, and supervises all special events for the inpatient pediatric areas.
Collaborates with marketing and public affairs to facilitate photography and filming activities, radio, television interviews, and host corporate donors.
Develops a strategic plan to reduce the fear and anxiety a child experiences with the healthcare environment.
Prepares patients and families for procedures, disease processes, and the healthcare environment using therapeutic play activities as treatment tools.
Evaluates child's developmental stage, ability to understand and cope with the health care environment, temperament, and emotional state.
Identifies patient and family coping strategies and applies strategies to assist in coping with the stress of hospitalization, illness, death, and/or loss.

Summary
Administers radiation therapy as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Travels between network Radiation Oncology sites as necessary.
Job Duties
Delivers a prescribed course of radiation therapy to patients and provides continuous monitoring during treatment. Schedules daily treatment appointments, answers patient questions, and explains the procedures being performed.
Serves as a liaison between patient and other members of their care team and reinforces recommendations given to the patient concerning reaction to treatment and care of irradiation area, prevention or treatment of generalized and local side effects. Observes patient for any unusual reactions or events.
Monitors radiation equipment inventory and follows all safety regulations regarding radiation exposure.
Participates in CT Simulation procedures and/or other treatments/procedures.
Participates in on-call, if applicable.
Keeps current regarding developments, trends and techniques in radiation therapy and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree Radiation Therapy or equivalent or
Technical School Diploma Accredited Radiation Therapy Program
Analytical ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.

Summary
Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment and performs high quality cardiac ultrasound imaging (echocardiography) to be used for the diagnostic evaluation of chamber measurements, blood flow characteristics, and cardiac function of the heart.
Job Duties
Performs high quality Transthoracic and Stress Echocardiography imaging studies per protocol on adult and geriatric patient population including the knowledge of transducer selection, equipment knobology for optimal image, and the knowledge/ability to perform all measurements, per protocol. Performs the patient meet/greet (confirm ID and order), reviews history and supporting clinical data for optimum diagnostic results, conducts patient prep (explain procedure, answer questions, take BP, apply electrodes), monitors patient wellbeing during test to recognize potential medical problems and takes action, and develops documentation (including Technical Sonographer Report). Provides medication/ IV insertion ( ultrasound enhancement agent, UEA) as needed.
Provides fellow colleague/new hire, student, intern and/or Fellow proctoring/training.
Participates in echocardiography performance improvement initiatives and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives; adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.

The burn center provides a full continuum of burn care, from acute resuscitation and surgical management, laser therapy, and scar reconstruction to outpatient management, rehabilitation, and survivor support. The Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University (LKSOM) is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center has a vibrant and interdisciplinary research program focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of thrombosis and hemostasis and developing new therapeutic strategies for blood diseases.
The Section of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at LKSOM provides inpatient consult service and outpatient hematology clinics for patients with classical as well as malignant hematologic disorders. The faculty teach clinical fellows, residents, medical students, and physician assistant students and participate in clinical and translational research. The physician-scientist will be a member of the Section of Hematology and have outpatient clinics focused on hemostasis and thrombotic disorders. He/She will practice out of the flagship Temple University Hospital, a 746-bed tertiary care facility with robust clinical hematology and oncology programs, that is adjacent to the Medical School.

Candidate Qualifications
* Qualified applicants will have Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees, demonstrating the ability to develop an independent, extramurally funded research laboratory.

Summary
Functions as an emergency response medical professional that administers immediate medical care to victims of accidents, violence, and sudden illnesses such as cardiac arrests or strokes. Provides pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility.

Represents the ambulance service while on duty at public service functions, expositions, and other public events and provides ambulance stand by services when necessary.

Summary
Administers all forms of respiratory care, both critical and general therapy, and directs and manages the respiratory and pulmonary care for a designated group of patients. Provides respiratory assessment, support, treatment, and diagnostic tests as part of the healthcare team.
Job Duties
Conducts evaluation, management and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system
Performs mechanical ventilator management, Bi-pap, and respiratory monitoring.
Sets up, checks equipment, and administers respiratory medication for aerosol treatment as ordered by the physicians/or by patient-driven protocols, charts treatment, response, and progress.
Performs inventory of respiratory equipment and maintains adequate stock of equipment.
Provides respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians according to established standards and practices.
Trains other staff including physicians and students in issues relevant to respiratory therapy.
Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation and maintains adequate airways, measures ventilator volumes, pressures, and flows of patients requiring critical care.
Performs arterial blood gas studies as well as pulse oximetry, interpretation, and analysis.
Educates patients in collaboration in various clinical situations such as sleep apnea and CPAP machines, proper fitting of mask and headgear, and setting of pressures in concordance to sleep studio requirements.
Sets-up diagnostic nocturnal sleep screens.
