I love the environment of Lowe's. It truly is a family. I know almost everyone's names that work at my store and I've only been there for almost a month. Everyone for the most part is so kind and helpful and it truly is a community. I love getting to know the customers.
I'm a part time cashier and on almost all of my off days I get called in. I work 30 hours a week while my friend that works there only works 3 days a week compared to my 6. It just doesn't seem like the hours are fair. Also when I first started they kinda just threw me on a register and didn't train me.
I just love the people I work with. They're so kind and helpful. I also love the food. The food is really good.
I like the community. Because it is a local grocery store the same customers come in every day. I get to know them by name. I learn about their lives, I learn about their families and feel like their friends. They are more than just customers, it is a community.
The lack of hours for employees. They overstaff at all of their stores, and try to be fair with everyone. Even if you are available to work most days of the week, it is rare to get more than 15 hours a week. They do not want people working more than 20 hours a week.
The beer den. It's great to end a shift and be able to go to a bar environment and buy a beer feet away from your cash register.
Challenging environment that asked you to perform multiple tasks while pushing your physical limits. Develops your ability to multi-task at a high level.
Poor Direction and leadership at specific locations. Corporate policy dictates a work schedule that is unmanageable and not necessary for employs to be as productive as they may be if given more control over their hourly schedule.
Excellent co-workers that inspire you to perform your best! I was able to meet people who truly inspired and would maintain a close friendship.
Nothing, did but they have too many racist, discriminatory practices for any and every protected group
Management and the discriminatory behavior, corporate allows them to not only do this but allows retaliation for reporting to hr
Paid time off
I like the family friendly environment and how close my house is to the store.
I don’t like the low pay and rare/small raises. I also don’t like how most people there are young and don’t want to work.
They are very flexible with schedules and are super nice !
Everyone’s friendly and easy to get along with, it is not hard!
LOWES home improvement not Lowe's foods but it's a very friendly place to go and shop would highly recommend.
Not much room for growth and not enough pay
