Job Description We are a private neurology practice seeking a PhysicianAssistant to join our team! As a PhysicianAssistant, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to evaluate neurological conditions.
Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and ongoing management strategies.
Collaboration: Work closely with neurologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
Procedural Assistance: Assist in procedures and provide support to physician
Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
Qualifications
National certification through the PhysicianAssistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and state licensure are mandatory.
A master's degree from an accredited PhysicianAssistant program is required, along with completion of clinical rotations in neurology.
Prior experience in neurology or a related field is often preferred, though new graduates may also be considered

Key Responsibilities
Provide a full range of PhysicianAssistant services in an Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) outpatient clinic within the limits of their training and privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic brain injury conditions involving any and all organ systems; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).
Technically direct and provide care for a variety of diseases and types of brain injuries, and the skills to recognize associated conditions in order to diagnose, prescribe for and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries, and refer the more complex cases and serious conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment.
Obtain medical histories, perform general and neurological examinations, reviews and enters orders: diagnostic, therapeutic, and radiologic tests.
