Salary: Up to $340K+ production

Schedule: (4 x 8's) -36 patient hours a week
Clinic: (Mon. to Fri.): 8:00a to 11:30a then 1:00p to 5:00p
Surgery: 1 day a week
Patient volume: Clinic (25-30)
Average number of cases: (8-12)
Great Support Staff:
(2) scribes, (3) techs, (3) exam rooms per provider, (1) research coordinator
(2.5) Photographers, (3) OPT's, (1) NP (1) Orthoptist per diem
Total of 12 OPH within the group
EMR: Med Flow in the clinic and Cerner at the hospital

Matrix Providers has a civilian opportunities for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to provide full-time care to the U.S. military and their families at Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland AFB located in San Antonio, TX.
The Government will accept any state nursing license. CRNAs must have experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia.

Qualification Requirements are:
Degree: Master's Degree in Nursing
Education: Graduate from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs ( COA )
Certification:
Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course (BLS).

Experience: Must be able to provide clinical competencies within the last 2 years. Additionally, have experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia.
Licensure: Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist in any U.S. state/territory.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations as privileged by the Medical Treatment Facility Credentials Committee.
Perform a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient. This includes obtaining informed consent from the patient, requesting consultations and diagnostic studies, and ordering pre-anesthetic medications.
Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care.
Perform an assessment immediately before the induction of anesthesia of the patient. This shall include a review of the medical record with regard to the completeness, pertinent laboratory data, time of administration, and dosage of pre-anesthesia medication, together with an appraisal of any changes in the patient's condition from that noted on previous visits. This note shall include any previous anesthetic experiences and complications noted in the medical record.
Maintain the patient's physiologic homeostasis and correct abnormal responses to the anesthesia and surgery.
Collect and interpret patient physiological data by selecting, applying, or inserting noninvasive monitoring modalities.
Manage the patient's airway and pulmonary status.
Manage the patient's emergence and recovery from anesthesia by maintaining homeostasis, providing relief from pain and anesthesia side effects, and preventing complications by selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administrating medications, fluids, or ventilator support.
Record all pertinent events during the introduction of, maintenance of, and emergence from anesthesia, including the dosage and duration of all anesthetic agents, other drugs, intravenous fluids, and blood or blood components on all patients that have received anesthesia care.
Record post-anesthetic visits, including at least one note describing the presence or absence of anesthesia-related complications of the procedure.

Compensation: This position is for an IC and is paid hourly, bi-weekly.
