Maintain relevant communication with Service Coordinator, Equipment Specialist and Territory Manager. Inventory Management Determines parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests. Uses, maintains, and secures test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment. Manages vehicle inventory and restocks as necessary. Physical inventory audits on a bi-annual basis Asset Management Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed. Ensures proper use and maintenance of all company provided assets, including but not limited to phone, computer, parts, tools and uniforms. Duties Help You will apply a variety of methods, procedures, and techniques to layout, install, align, overhaul, repair, and maintain numerous types of marine machinery, equipment, and systems. You will utilize and apply standard formulas, shop mathematics, trade theories, and industry practices in calculating needed materials and problem solving. You will utilize various test equipment and measuring devices such as alignment scopes, verniers, micrometers, precision levels, transits, strobe tachometers, bearing bridge gauges, flow meters, hydrostatic testers, and vibration analyzers. You will set up and operate machine tools such as small lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and precision grinders to manufacture component parts or remachine existing parts such as bushings, bearings, seals, couplings, and pistons. You will utilize machine tools for onsite milling, grinding, boring, facing, and drilling, and the use of various other portable machine tools to accomplish repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and rebuild components and assemblies such as shafts, propellers, rudders, engines, and sea valves. Job Summary Fleet Mechanic is responsible for service and maintenance, keeping in good order all Ground Service Equipment at a designated station, keeping Swissport Ramp and other service agencies safe with reliable equipment that meets all local and governing laws. The expected pay rate is $28- $37/hr. Your activities Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment - motorized and non-motorized. Perform and show competence in preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment Provide trouble-shooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as required Hydraulic knowledge or basics necessary. Must be willing to learn hydraulic systems Airport deicing training will be required. Reporting to work during snow, Ice and cold weather required.
