Participate in service training activities; attend factory-sponsored training classes.

Proficiency in repairing cooling components, including air conditioning and engine cooling systems, is also important. You must be adept at performing safety checks and state or manufacturer-regulated examinations, producing clear and accurate paperwork that reflects the work performed. Physical dexterity is a must, along with ethical conduct in every aspect of your work.
A valid state driver's license is required for conducting test drives, and familiarity with diagnostic equipment, coupled with a willingness to pursue ongoing training and certifications, will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Repair brake and steering systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
Perform safety checks and similar state or manufacturer regulated vehicle examinations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
Possess a valid state driver's license for conducting test drives.
3 years of experience as a Service / Automotive Technician.
An understanding of and ability to use diagnostic equipment and a willingness to continue training and certifications is also useful.
