The starting wage for this position is $18.75/hr. plus monthly incentives based on job completion rate: $150 - $1000 per month, equivalent to $0.94/hour to $6.25/hour!!

Job Description:

The Tire and Lube Technician performs tire rotations and oil changes on all Hertz fleet vehicles. Additional responsibilities include preventive maintenance, completing appropriate paperwork and reports. Follow all company service and safety procedures. Maintain a safe and clean work environment

This position is in a union environment and the scheduling is subject to shift bid. New employees can expect to work the following schedule 2pm-10pm as well as overtime hours.

Qualifications :

No prior mechanical experience required. On the job training is provided. Must possess a positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new things. All employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background screen.

General Description Performs any combination of duties on construction projects usually working in a utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require a team member with varied experience and ability.
+ Maintain heavy equipment, fuel, oil and lube;

+ CDL A License;

+ Acceptable driving record a must;

+ Hazmat and tanker endorsement;

+ Flexible work schedule;

+ Heavy physical effort required. Ability to lift 0 to 50 pounds occasionally for hand work; Must be able to stand, bend, stretch for extended periods of time; ability to bend crouch and climb on and off the equipment repetitively; Use hands, arms and legs fully, acceptable vision (either naturally or with corrective lens);

Physical Demand:

Constant physical effort required. Ability to lift 0 to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds; Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; ability to stoop, bend, crouch, walk and climb on and off equipment, or stable work site repetitively when required with use of hands, arms and legs fully.

Continuous mental and visual attention required to complete tasks in efficient manner involving repetitive or diversified work requiring alertness to activity. Flexible work schedule as required by project. Working conditions will consist of exposure to grease, noise, dust, and dirt of the construction project or shop.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
